Is there anywhere besides Hurricane Hanna's that makes chicken fingers near the Yacht Club? (Not in Epcot, though) It's my favorite thing to eat at Disney, but we get in after it's closed and I love having it as my first dinner. Does anywhere in the area also do the Mickey waffles quick service style (or at least counts as one for the dining plan) for Breakfast?

What is the walking distance from BCV and Yacht Club (I know they are located on the same property)? My husband and I will be at the Yacht Club the last night of our vacation and my daughter and her three young children will be at a studio at the BCV. Is it a far walk between the two? and which is bigger, studio at BCV or standard room at Yacht Club? I'm wondering if I should just move her and kids over to the Yacht Club, but then she would have the hassle of moving and changing rooms with three young ones. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

Can anyone help me with this? THANKS!

I can't tell you about the room size because I've only stayed at BC, but I can tell you that there is a short walk between the two. They are actually connected although you do have to walk outside for a bit (50 feet maybe?) to get from one to the other. If you are on one end of YC and she is on the other end of BC, you may have a 5 minute walk but that's about it. Keep in mind too, that if you are going to Epcot, you would walk toward the BC anyway and you could swing by her room or just meet up with her on the walkway. Let me stress that this is not a long walk if you are a mobile person (it may be different if you have limited mobility).

As a mother with young children, I would not want to move to another room mid-way through my vacation but she might be different so you can always ask her! Keep in mind too, that she would have to vacate the room by 11 and not be able to check in to another room until 3.

Good luck!

Don't worry. If you get a room with one of the new daybeds, he'll be fine. If you get a room with one of the other ones in it, he won't be fine. As I said before, we can't tell at the front desk which rooms have which daybeds in them. So, check out the room, and if it has one of the smaller daybeds in it, then just immediately come back down to the front desk and tell them your son won't fit in the daybed, and ask for a room with two queens and a rollaway bed in it. He'll fit fine in the rollaway. What day are you checking in?

Teena do you know what the daybed situation is at the YC? We have 2 rooms for a GG with 5 in one room and 2 in another and had planned on using the daybed in both situations. Our 17 year old is about 5'11 as well and the 13 year old about 5'4. They would be the ones most likely using them.

Thanks!

Teena. THanks so much for your reply We are checking this Friday. We arrive at the airport around 10:30am. I didn't even think about different resorts having different size day beds. I appreciate you help and at least I know I have options if we get an old day bed. Also thank you to the poster who posted the picture of the day bed. Your right now way my son would fit in that!

They are the smaller ones. ShelsGoingToDisney posted a picture a few posts ago of a daybed at the BC. The ones at the YC are pretty much exactly like that one.

You are very welcome. I'll be there Saturday, Sunday and Monday so ... see you soon!!!

The five sleepers go to parties of five first and then randomly to others. Since you are only four, I would make "daybed requested" as your priority first request on your reservation. We try to meet as many requests as we can and if you just request a daybed, unless they are all gone, you will most likely get one.

Don't fret about it. When you check-in at the front desk, just say "We really need a room with a daybed since my son and daughter don't want to sleep in the same bed. Does our room have one?" They will check and if not, they will try to switch you. Worse case scenario, if there are no rooms available with a daybed since they were given out to parties of five, then you can request a rollaway be sent to the room. Guests tell me they are very comfortable and when not in use, they stand up so they don't take up alot of room.

See you next Fall!

Thanks for the quick reply. :flower3: We haven't told the kids we are staying at BC, they think we are staying at POP again so they will be thrilled.

BC first timers...so afraid we will miss the Poly:sad1:....but loved this area when we stayed at the Swan in 2008.

Looking forward to a great trip...:dance3:

Just wanted to say when we did our Grand Gathering in 2008 my oldest three sons and my mom shared a room. Their room had two queen beds so we asked for a rollaway. My mom (who was 80 at the time!) said the rollaway was very comfortable. The boys just folded it up and moved it against the wall during the day - no problem at all.

Is there a charge for the rollaway?

Hmmn. I read what I wrote and that isn't correct. We actually have 5 in one room and 4 in the other so 9 total. So based on those pictures, it's really a couch and not a daybed? And they don't sound like they will fit an adult or teen even though they are advertised as a daybed. It definitely looks like a couch in the picture. :(

We definitely need a total of 3 beds per room. I'm a bit worried about the rollaway, where does it even fit in the room? It just sounds really crowded! We are too big for a 2B villa at the BC and my MIL was not thrilled with the villas that did sleep 9 so we did the 2 rooms at the YC, based on her choice, and the fact they'd sleep 5. I'm getting nervous about it now. Of our group of 9, 7 are adults or teens (adult sized) and while we've got 2 small ones that might fit on a couch, they will be sharing a bed. I'm extremely excited to stay at the YC but have done squished before and people sleeping on the couch (FW Cabins) I was really hoping to avoid that with the upgrade.

You won't miss the Poly one bit! ;) It will be a nice change, and you'll love Stormalong Bay. :goodvibes You'll also love being so close to Epcot and the Studios, the only time you'll be missing the Poly is when taking the bus back and forth to MK, but really it's totally worth the experience of trying a different resort. We find that when we switch around it helps every WDW vacation seem different. :cloud9:

They didn't charge us.
Thanks..I guess i will see how the day bed works out first.

I keep hearing this from other Poly lovers and it makes me feel better.:lovestruc I am not even going to eat at Ohana or Kona so we don't even have to see it while we are there.:rolleyes1 I did like the idea of being close to 2 parks vs just one. I know i have convinced myself and hopefully the family will go along with me..only DH knows right now and he said ok.

DH, DGD (4), and I will be staying at YC in a standard room the first week of May. I made no requests. Any idea what type of room they will put us in? Should I make some type of request?

We have our first ever YC coming up soon and are curious to hear answers to this, too.:goodvibes
