I'm hoping to hear about this as well. Can anyone also tell me what the breakfast options are at B&C?

We were there when they first started testing this out in July. We loved it!

The breakfast options that I remember were pancakes with bacon, scrambled eggs with bacon, potatoes and a biscuit, cheese or ham and cheese omelets with the potatoes and buiscuits and fruit and yogurt parfait.

Are these considered CS meals?

Bob is home from doctors. She is certain as she can be without doing the test (which she says is so expensive and you have to wait a few days for results) that he has swine flu and gave him the prescription for it. He takes two pills twice a day for 5 days. I've been instructed to sleep in the guest room until Friday and he's not allowed out until Friday. The antibiotics I'm on for my "bug" won't protect me from it so hopefully all the spraying of everything in the house with antibacteral spray will do the trick and I'm not infected. I guess if I'm okay by Friday, I'm home free.

It doesn't surprise me since he worked Sunday and Monday last week. He's with guests like I am all day and pin trades all day. Just one person with it shakes his hand and it's all over. I run into the back office and use hand sanitizer every 30 minutes when I'm working.

He's still not good tonight. Horrible sore throat. Hopefully with two of the pills in him already, he'll be a little better tomorrow.

I hope he feels better soon. I hope you don't catch this, either.:flower3:

The breakfast at B&C is over. It was a CS. The only breakfast options at the Y&B now are Cape May Character Breakfast (table service), buffet or order off the menu at Captain's Grill (table service) or counter service items which consist of a breakfast sandwich, a parfait, bakery items, cereals, at the Marketplace and also about the same options at Ale & Compass at the YC. I'm hoping they will bring back the CS at B&C which gave you a full breakfast platter of eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuit; pancakes and bacon; an omelette, etc. I still believe if enough people scream about bringing it back, they will do it.

I might have to send another letter or call back WDW. The cast member that recieved my letter left her cell phone number.
Should I call??

Guests have told me that the response they are getting is that if it was received favorably then they were looking at opening a new location for it (which I know means in a year or two). I think that's super but in the meantime, they should keep B&C open for breakfast until the new place opens up. Certainly won't hurt to call her back and give her your opinion!!

Perhaps they didn't want the B&C breakfast to interfere with breakfast "crowd" soon to be over at Kouzzina?? I realize those are entirely different things (CS v. TS) -- but there's only so many folks at the Epcot resorts who need to eat breakfast, and I can see the thought process.

Teena, I hope your husband feels better soon!!

That could be but I don't think so since it's TS v. CS and there just is no real counter service anywhere in that area that serves more than a breakfast sandwich.

He's still feeling really bad but hopefully by tonight the pills will have kicked in. Thanks for the kind words.

Just returned from bc on Friday and did not have a very good experience.....We checked in on Friday the 31st @ 10:30 am...our room was ready! Went up to the room to find 2 double beds(I requested at least 2 queens as it is myself dh, ds 16 6'2" tall and ds 13) 2 doubles will not work....I went down to the front desk and the moved us to the room next door 2 queens and a daybed that was great! We went to the park and back for a swim and off to bed as we were up at 4am. Tried to got to sleep but There was a very loud baning noise that lasted until midnight and started again at 6 am..I went to the front desk the next morning and Wilma asked what room we were in and she oh! it is the elevator sooo.....I asked to be moved again and she told me we would have to move our own luggage and wait until 11 am to check out and 3 to check back in....she did not seem very eager or symathatic to help. I was very dissapointed in this...Then half the time the elevators did not work ....you would get on them the doors would close and you would not move. This did not ruin our trip but was very disappointed in the beach club and will stay at our usual yatch club next time! We did very much enjoy breakfast at beaches and cream I hope they keep that up.

Sorry to hear about your bad stay and service.
We stayed at the Yacht Club last week of July. We had several things go wrong as well but, unlike at the Beach Club, I talked with one of the managers and she was wonderful!!
She made our stay the best of all the times we have been. She was very understanding and caring. I would stay at the Yacht Club next time. They for sure have caring people there.

Hey Teena, have a trip booked through Dreams Unlimited staying GV concierge in November. I made an initial contact with the IPO then I contacted them again with some room preferences, I received the computer generated note saying I'd hear from someone within 24 hours, that was at least three days ago. Should I re send the email?

Definitely email them again. You're paying for that service, use it. Or call them!!! Sorry they didn't respond timely!!

YCNUT: Please send a letter to our GM describing your experience ... describe it exactly like you described it here. And definitely name names! Go into detail!! Your experience is not what we want to hear or expect to hear. Of course, when things go wrong, unfortunately, the only way we can assure it doesn't happen again is to hear about it and try to fix where it went wrong. Trust me when I say our upper management will want to hear about your experience and they will definitely try to assure it never happens again. Obviously, we are not perfect, but we honestly try so hard to make everyone's stay at the Y&B exceptional. We love our repeat guests and want you to come back time after time.

MARTINAC: I'm sorry you had a few problems but I'm so happy everything was taken care of and you were satisfied with the outcome!

TeenaS:
Hope your husband starts to feel better soon! Hope it doesn't wear you down too much! There's just no fun in feeling miserable.

My countdown is getting closer! My split stay at Pop/YC has been "upgraded" (by me & my credit card) to POR/YC. Can't wait for both! I am sooo looking forward not only to YC & its balconies & SAB, but also to being able to walk between resort and DHS and resort and EPCOT.

I'm getting in the walks I can....today my name should be WalkinginthePouringRain....I walked to work today (just under 14km....about 8 1/2 miles). The rain started after 20mins, and my umbrella was killed by the wind 15 minutes before I got to work...The walk was great until the umbrella broke- that's the point at which my sneakers got soaked as well!
I'm home now and it's still raining ...but the dog still needs a W-A-L-K.:dogdance:....

I'm just carrying a mental picture of me out on my YC balcony on a warm summer evening with an ice cold beer, and some beautiful quiet music playing...hmm could I get a hammock up on that balcony?.....:cloud9:

How are the refurbs at YC coming along? How much is likely to be completed by mid September?

Thanks, I called and spoke with a really sweet woman who spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with me.

canceling the CS breakfast is a really bad thing in my opinion.
I was so happy reading the news last week, and now i'm sad again.
We're arriving on monday, so probably no use in sending or calling Disney to reinstate it i suppose ?

Teena Thanks I will do that. I just felt as thought It was more trouble than it was worth to check out and than back in and have to pack everything up again and like I said it did not ruin our trip....just hard to get to sleep at night.
We still had a great time at WDW. I might bring my Mom next Sept. for the food and wine festival. Maybe we will give the BC another try. Thanks again!

I'm not Teena, but I'll add my 2¢ worth here -- I find that it's easier and faster to reach the IPO office by phone if you have the time to call them. That way I get my questions answered immediately.;) I've done both, but IMO, the BC/BW/YC IPO office was easier to deal with on the phone than by email.:)

Husband is worse tonight he says ... maybe he has to get worse before he starts feeling better.

No hammock on the balcony I'm afraid.

Refurbs are right on schedule. The rehab woman just told me tonight everything is moving along perfectly.

I saw on another thread that the CL lounge at BC will be undergoing a renovation soon to expand it? I haven't seen this anywhere else, and I thought all renovations were completed at BC last year, which didn't include the lounge.

I ask because my girlfriend and I will be there next month and I was wondering if the lounge would be in a state of chaos, lol!
