Has anyone started an '08 baseball post-season thread yet? I scrolled but couldn't find one.

So let's talk baseball playoffs. Who's taking home the grand prize this year? Who's going home early?
And Mets fans...what exactly happened?

Woo hoo, I finally get to see my team in the playoffs for the first time in my lifetime. :cool1: :cool1:

Go Brewers! I just got home from the rally they had before the team left for Philly.

I was so glad to see the Brewers take the NL Wildcard spot instead of the Mets. :cool1:
We need some new faces in the playoffs this year. For the World Series, I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Manny Ramirez gettin' smoked by his former team in 5 games.

Update: White Sox just beat Detroit in Chicago. WhSox play Twins tomorrow to decide who wins AL Central.

Anything can happen in the playoffs. You've got short series and 'hot' teams. I don't know who could stop the Angels though. I don't have a horse in the race, but I'd love to see the Cubs win. It's time to break that streak.

I know who can stop the Angels- MY CUBBIES!!

Downtown rally is at noon today-GO CUBS!!

I'd love to see the Cubs win it all, but I'm not holding my breath. The Angels look strong in the AL.

My predictions (I think I have the matchups right :confused3 ):

LAA over BoSox
Rays over Twins/ChiSox
LAA over Rays in ALCS

Brew Crew over Phillies
LADodgers over Cubbies
Brew Crew over LA Dodgers in NLDS

LAA over Brew Crew in WS

(All this unfolds while TV execs cry in their beer over plummeting ratings)

Rays all the way baby!!! :thumbsup2

It's great not having everybody laughing at my team all the time!!!

All these years we have watched our Rays and finally we aren't being laughed at... Go Rays

Just got my tickets for the ANGELS vs RED SOX!!! :woohoo:

My teams out so I don't even know if we'll watch it.(although to see the Red Sox lose I might- guess my team??:rotfl2: )

What I would like to see would be Dodgers vs. Red Sox just to see Manny But my guess is Dodger /Devil Rays

My team (Atl Braves) had no chance this year. Too many injuries, not enough heat in the bullpen.
I'm hoping to see the Cubs break the 100-year drought, but realistically I'm seeing BoSox over Dodgers.

I was so glad to see the Brewers take the NL Wildcard spot instead of the Mets. :cool1:

Me too:thumbsup2 Phillies fan here!!! It's been way too long since our last World Series. I am really hoping this is the year.

No way Brewers beat the Phillies...only if CC pitches every game.

I see a Cubs v. Angels World Series.

:cheer2: GO CUBBIES :cheer2:

I just attended the dowtown rally for the Cubs and it was AWESOME.

Jim Belushi was the mc.
Former Cubs greats Ron Santo, Ernie Banks and Billie Williams were there.
Current Cubs Sean Marshall, Micah Hoffpier and DERRICK LEE were there.

As Ron Santo says "This IS the year!"

Yankee fan pulling for Joe Torre.

Hmmm....I am wondering how Joe is feeling since his DEPARTURE :confused3 from the Yankees and this is what the FIRST time in like 15 years that the Yankees have not made the Playoffs.....:confused3 and Joe's team MADE IT!!!! :woohoo:
