The 2008 American Idol Thread.....

I listened to the performances on Rickey.org to see if my opinions were the same after just listening to them.

David A- Still didn't like it at all.

Michael- Thought he was OK last night, he sounded better on the mp3. Weird.

Jason Castro- Really liked him last night, loved the mp3 too.

David H- Thought he sounded better.

David Cook- Still loved it.

Danny- I thought he actually sounded pretty good. I'm surprised.

Chikezie- Liked it less then last night.

Luke- Not good. He should have picked a different song.

David A is adorable, but his cuteness is starting to become phoney to me. I thought he did wonderful with the song, but his sucking air and running his tongue out over his lips really bugged me. I had to laugh every time he did it.

I neglected to mention that in my review, but I totally agree. I kept thinking if he was that thirsty, he should have had some water before he sang. It was a bit oogey.

Tell me about it. I'd never have the time or patience to type all of that stuff. With two kids, a husband and a dog, I rarely have the time or patience for anything. Thank God for work!!!! That's where I go to get some peace.

P.S. If he had sang "Like A Virgin" last night, I actually would've voted for him for pure entertainment factor alone.

Just my 2 cents..I really REALLY like David Cook last night..i have always enjoyed him..but i thought it was one of his best...
VERY interested to see the girls tonight..more interested to start to see them slowly get voted off when the groups combine next week..IMO they are no where near as good as the boys..or as fun.

I don't think Danny will go yet, not that he shouldn't but he is on the vote for the worst list. I also think he has an ok voice but he is so OVERDONE and fake.

I am curious to see what happens with everyone's hair once they start getting stylists. I would love to see Jason Castro's hair short.

I think Luke and Swiss Cheezy are gone.

Okay, the Swiss Cheezy is KILLING ME!!

I don't want them to cut Jason's hair! I think it makes him who he is! I also didn't like it at first but somehow it makes him HIM!

Close Second:
David A - it's the arrangements he uses and his intonation that make him rise above the others. What I find distracting though is his breathing - whether he's singing or talking. I want to give him an inhaler. I wonder if this is something they can work on.

Third Place:
David H - he's a pretty boy for sure with a decent voice. I liked the song he did but since he's kind of a middle of the road singer compared to the others, he might be vulnerable.

Want to Hate him but I didn't think last night's performance was as bad as Simon did. :
Diva Danny - I liked that the arrangement was "out there" and thought he did a good job making the song current. It's his over the top attitude I don't care for. I like him a lot better than Sanjaya (and that Streisand like girl from a few seasons ago) so I bet he'll be here for awhile.

So that leaves Luke and Chikeze. I think they'll both be leaving unless David H's fans forgot to vote in which case Chikeze will be around one more week.

Michael Johns probably missed his only opportunity to sing Men at Work's, "I come from a land down under."

And Sesame Street's new muppet should be named "Wheezy" after David A.

And finally, I was disappointed that Luke stole Danny's Wham song. He should have kissed up to Randy and tried to sing a Journey song.

WHO posted the spoilers last week so we knew what the women were singing? I want to know????? Is there a spoiler website? I tried Googling but didn't find anything.

Bryan Adams would have been good, maybe next week??
