The Vote for the Worst brigade. Even if VFTW picks someone else as their awful-fave, last night Jason Y was the WORST in my book. He doesn't deserve to be on the same stage as *any* of the other contestants, including Miss Danny. I mean, Danny at least has the excuse of being young & stupid. The sheer number of contestants who did NOT get picked while this idiotically-grinning Ken Doll got the nod is mind-blowing.

Ugh.

Week Two – The Guys – Wrap-Up

Okay, is it the seasion's talent, or is it me???? I'm having to make myself comment on last nights show. This week, I did fast forward through a bit.

The 70s theme has the potential for being awful……

and it was!

Michael Johns – Go Your Own Way – I still like him (for lack of anyone else to really root for) but he tanked tonight.

Jason Castro -- I Just Want to Be Your Everything – I'm starting to like the old dog-haired one. I love the Bee Gees and he did a great job.

Luke Menard – Killer Queen – I agree with Simon and RyMickey. He has no charisma. But I didn't hear the "pitchy" part. I thought he sang wonderfully - he just doesn't draw you in when he sings.

Robbie Carrico – Hot-Blooded – Robbie is my Bucky Covington this year. He's not the best, but I enjoy him and want him to stick around a bit more. I'm not really a rocker-type - more of a rock-lite and he fits that bill.

Danny Noriega -- Superstar – I still think he is a joke and that someone has made a horrible mistake by having him sing with the men instead of the women.

David Hernandez – Papa Was a Rolling Stone – I think this guy has potential.....in a boy band of some sorts. He sings well, but I don't think he can pull in crowds by himself. He needs about four other dudes up there with him.

Jason Yeager – Without You – How in the H E double hockey sticks did this guy squeeze into the top 24? He needs to borrow the macaroni and Chickeze suit cause like RyMickey said - he is pure cheeeeeeeesse!

Chikezie – I Believe – He has a bad attitude and not enough talent to back it up. These people think they are already super stars. His song was okay but nothing I'd rush out and buy.

David Cook – All Right Now – I like this guy too. I think he did very well. But, it's kind of like the old saying "Dance with the one who brought ya." Don't get cocky with the judges since your butt wouldn't be on national t.v. singing if it weren't for them.

David Archuleta -- Imagine – This kid is a great singer, but he murdered a great song, in my opinion. He cut the best parts and sang the rest all out of whack. That is one of my favorite songs and I never want to hear it done any other way than the original. For me, it's like the girls singing Whitney or Christina. And enough of the humble crap.

The thing that really bothers me with David Achuletta is the loud breathing. It is soooo distracting. Another poster mentioned it a few pages back also.

I mentioned it a few pages back.
I find his breathing really annoying.

Of all of them last night, I liked David Cook the best. I was turned off by his attitude though (and his abnormally large forhead!)

Any thoughts on the girl song spoilers I posted in white a page back? Looks like a lot of Heart songs tonight.

LOL, on Vote For the Worst they said on Dial Idol if Robbie was coming in 4th his wig was coming in 5th!!

It looked VERY obvious and out of place last night. That's why I suggested he continue his Brett Michael's scarf around the head Rock of Love look...

My favorite last night was David A. of course. Also liked the other Davids. I think I'm going to start liking Jason Castro. And I sort of like Danny. He's just...strange. LOL.

To me Jason Castro has a goofy kind of charm, he seems genuine (unlike some of the other contestants, ie Mr. Carrico & his wig, Jason Y and his Ken-Doll/Spawn of Satan toothy grin, etc.). And I am usually not a fan of dreads in general.

The judges are crazy (we already know that, though.) I thought Jason Castro was great. It's called TALENT when you can play an instrument and sing well. And he did sing well. Don't allow them to play instruments if you're just going to criticize them for it. Poor guy doesn't know what to do.
I hate his hair, but his eyes and smile are to die for. He's hotter than Michael Johns to me.

One thing I do like about Michael, he doesn't hold up his fingers and beg people to vote for him. He just stands there politely while Ryan gives out his numbers. That whole, three fingers, vote for me! stuff is really getting old. People aren't going to think, "Oh, I have to vote for him, he just told me to."

David H. did well last night, but his face when he's singing is just awkward. It's like he's kind of shocked that words are coming out of mouth, and he looks twitchy or something. It's weird.

Jason Y. Oh jeez, man. He looks like he should be wearing a sweater vest and going to Harvard. I don't like when people sing EVERY song with a huge smile. It's distracting, and it shows you really aren't feeling the words at all. And I agree with a previous poster, his butt and hips don't really fit on him
His son is adorable though.

Chikizie and Robbie don't impress me. I don't like the way Robbie pulls on his shirt and uses gestures while he's singing. A little bit is ok, but he's over the top with it.

Danny.... Get over yourself...I just have to say that again. You're more than annoying-ISH.

David Cook did well. I like that he played his guitar, and I think it's cute that he's a word nerd. Simon is dumb for saying that's boring following tennis and drag racing, but that's just who he is. If that's his hobby, so what? Everybody's different.

David Archuleta is good, and he's a cutie. I really do think he's innocent, he's just enjoying the fame and the girls screaming at him. That's all new to him, so let him take it all in. If he's still all "Melinda Doolittley" in the top 12, then I'll probably have a problem with it. I think it's cute that he sang for Kelly in a hotel lobby. I wonder if she's watching the show now, and remembers him??

Oh, Luke. LOL. It's bad that I can't remember. I don't really care for him. Guys shouldn't sing high like that. That's why I don't like Justin Timberlake anymore (don't ask me about his Nsync days though! I was in LOVE with him He sang more normal then though)

Anyway, that's my opinion of the guys. Can't wait to see how the girls will do.
