I think Simon has ruined Michael Buble for me. I was listening to a Buble CD yesterday and I could hear Simon's pompous voice saying: "it was a bit old-fashioned - you can't expect to sell albums with that kind of music."

arrgh! OK - Buble has a niche routine, but there are still people who want to listen to the old songs sung by someone today.

70's music - and let me guess Simon is going to tell them all it sounds old fashioned. What does he expect its not like the song is from the 2000's.

There have been a bunch of covers of older songs released in the last few years, each one sounding like a true 2000's song. It is all a matter of understanding how to take a melody and lyrics and arrange it in a contemporary manner, something which an American Idol should be able to do instinctively.

That's about the only time I disagree with Simon.

I've read enough spoilers today to last me all year long. Mjsbigblog only has what David A. sang because where she got her spoiler from the person that went to the taping didn't know the other song titles but she sure remembered everything the judges said - did you read all the judges remarks? WOW!!

My rant is with the judges: One week they will "praise" a contestant for doing some certain thing then the next week they will "critisize" a contestant for doing the same certain thing..........I just wish they would be consistent, but they do it every year, I should be used to it by now.

Now you know how I felt the year Everybody Loved Chris and he actually caused a gag reflex in me.... That's why there are so many different types of people, everyone has different taste!

I'm a huge Chris fan, so I do know how you feel. Hey, I'm still obsessed with him. I'm glad that there's someone this year that you really love.
And sadly, there's no one I'm really rooting for this year, so far they are just ok to me.

At least I'm not alone in thinking that Michael isn't that cute. I might want him to win though, I like his voice, and he's not Carly.
