I hated his first one. He had such a great southern rock voice, and then he released a CD of pop crap :headache: (We can say crap on here, right? :lmao:) I have to check out his new album later tonight :thumbsup2

"Real" southern rock. You won't be disappointed.

I've noticed that she does think that she owns Nashville now that she's had some success :lmao: I always find her voice kind of whiny :headache:

What country are you into? I'm into rock through and through, but I've been looking for some good country stuff. I like some of the Rascall Flatts stuff, but I'm not sure who to even look into :lmao:

Oh I've heard stories on how she acts when it comes to the fans.

Look into Lady Antebellum, they have a newer sound that's so good or Chuck Wicks.

I LOVVEEEEDDDD Bo! I thought he was one of the best contestants ever on the show. Carrie's done really well since winning, but I was pulling for Bo that season.

I really like Bo too....what happened to him? I'm really surprised he didn't take off like Chris Daughtery did. Seems like he got some press when his first album got released and then I didn't hear anything more about him?

Last season was really bad/disappointing, I'm hoping for better this year that's for sure and I defintely would like to get to know the contestants better.

I was surprised, too! Chris was good but I thought Bo was lightyears ahead of him. Chris sounds like every other rock band out there.

Now you know I have to hear those stories... :rolleyes1

Ick, last season was awful!! After that train wreck, I'll watch, but mostly because there's nothing else on.

Chris Daughtry will always be my favorite Idol. :thumbsup2
:cool1: I LOVE him too! By far my absolute favorite!!!!!! I will watching this season also, and I truely hope it is worth while :happytv:

Oh they can be shared. She's taken her dog into the Ryman before. She's very unfriendly, like those who wait in the Alley at the Ryman, she won't smile, make eye contact. She'll just sign stuff but won't talk any of that. Just very kind of stand offish. I'll confirm it for sure after the 20th, I have tickets to the Opry show she's doing and I'm going to wait out for Dierks.

I know other singers bring their pets everywhere they go and they usually allow them to bring them into auditoriums and stuff. That being said, I have no idea what the Ryman is :confused3 Is it an historic auditorium or something? Let me know how she is in person!

Yes the Ryman is the original house of the Grand Ole Opry. The pews that you sit in are the original pews that have been there. It's a historic building for Music City. I will report back.

Funny...I've heard good stuff about Carrie. I heard she was very friendly. But she's from Oklahoma, so maybe she acts nicer when she's among Okies? If so, I don't like that. I'll be anxious to hear what your experience is.

Everyone I have talked to in Nashville area hasn't much good to say about her. They have seen her more than once and she's been like this.

Ohh, very cool :thumbsup2 Keep us updated, and have fun at the show! :goodvibes

I'm waiting for it to start too. It is the only show I watch on TV. Loved reading the thread last year as you all see if before me here!

I'm usually sucked into watching AI - last season was awful I hated it. Not sure what season it was maybe it was different seasons but nothing beats - Beau (or Bo) or Chris. Hope this year is better.

I can't wait until AI starts...I wish they would have less audition shows and just get right down to it...!

What ticks me off is that they WASTE so much time on the stinky auditions (do we really need to see a whole HOUR of an audition city where NO-ONE or very few get to the next round? Just skip over it, show a few stinkers, show the few that go on and then move on to a city that has more 'winners'.) I am hopeful that the changes announced for this year will be an improvement - didn't much like last year's AI. Some of the mentors were spot-on in their critiques, but some of the celebrity performances were truly AWFUL.

The other thing that viewers seem to forget is that the producers already *know* who is getting to Hollywood when the show premieres - we're not seeing the winnowing process in real time.

agnes!

I say it every year and I'll say it again. My AI Promise To Myself:

I will not watch the auditions, I will not watch the auditions, I will not...

(but I probably will :headache: )

I am THRILLED that they will be able to play their own instruments. This is WONDERFUL news. They absolutely should be able to showcase any musical talent that they have...seperates the boys from the men, so to speak.

Here's some info on past contestants:

Phil Stacey's single hits airwaves in the next week or two, he is signed with Lyric Street Records in Nashville.

Diana Degarmo did a reality show that will air on CMT called Gone Country.
