The 2007 Unofficial Guide already released? *Update-it's out!*

Still not available yet in UK and Overclockers website doesn't allow for foreign purchase. :confused3

I saw that too but it's available at Amazon.com. You can use your Amazon.co.uk user id and password at any of the Amazon sites. It will take a bit longer of course to come from the U.S. than U.K. but hopefully still faster than waiting for UK Amazon to stock it!

It's priced at 12.91 dollars (+ shipping of course) which isn't bad at all. :thumbsup2

DOH! I *just* ordered yesterday the 2006 wdw passporter since I didn't think any of the 2007s would be out in time... what to do! return it for this one? how do they compare? :confused3

It's possible that it hasn't been shipped yet. Get on there soon and see if you can track your order and see the status of it. If it hasn't been shipped maybe you can cancel it.

Oh wait, you said you ordered the Passporter, sorry. The new Passporter isn't out til November I believe so at least your one is still technically new. The Passporter and the Unofficial Guide are very different - the UG is an extremely comprehensive book - around 600 to 700 pages or so full of very detailed information and touring plans. The Passporter, in my opinion, is far less informative. But it does have the pockets at the back to store your info and keepsakes for each day of your trip. Also the maps in The Passporter are terrific! (They're the best part of it imo). They're so different it would be worth investing in both really or if you really only want one, I'd choose the UG.

How do you get the site dealhunting to work? I go to the site and then click on overstock.com and all I get is page unavailable.

I just ordered mine from amazon.com. Hoping it will come before we go in 15 days time (delivery 6-22 days).

Since I am going in December is it better to go ahead and get the 2007 version or do I need to get the 2006 version? I have an old 2003 version that I have been reading but I am sure that there have been plenty of updates since then. Thanks!

I'd get the 2007 one. I did that last year...bought the 2006 version to plan our December 2005 trip.

I was just given the 2006 UG this weekend as a gift. We're planning a trip for the end of September. Is there enough additional information to make the 2007 version worthwhile?

For those of you who have gotten the 2007 edition already, can you share what additional features/information are in the new version?

Thanks!!

I just got mine today from Barnes & Noble! It was only $11.96 with my member discount. I can't wait to start reading it tonight!

Just got mine yesterday, so I haven't had time to thoroughly peruse it yet, but, right off the bat, I can tell you that they have totally re-evaluated all of the Disney Resorts, and they have a new ratings chart for the Disney resorts, featuring criteria such as noise, lighting, comfort of pillows, etc. Also, they have an interesting little discussion of the possible changes coming to the FastPass system, not to mention write ups on the new attractions, like Expedition Everest and The Seas with Nemo and Friends. And it appears that the book features pretty much all new behind-the-scenes factoids from Jim Hill (including a cool rumor about the old boat ride at AK being turned into a character dining experience and opening in 2008).

HTH! :sunny:

I work for Borders, and we just got our copies in today. I bought one, which came as no surprise to my coworkers. :) I haven't had a chance to delve into it yet, though.

So check your local Borders. It's way better than that Barnes and Noble place. :rotfl:

I just ordered it tonight from Amazon and it said it was in stock...but I'm thinking maybe it says that because on their shipment schedule it won't ship until it's available anyway. Regardless, I ordered it and the Frommer's Disney & Orlando 2007, too.

I got my copy last night at Barnes and Nobles. I have looked through it a little bit but think I'll wait and read it on our long 17 hour trip. I've got to have something to keep me motivated. :)

My copy of the Unofficial Guide is in transit. I also bought from overstock with the 10% deal! I'm very excited about getting this book, since we leave on tuesday! WOOO HOO!

My local bookstore just called me. Said the copy I ordered a few weeks ago is in. Woo hoo!

I saw it yesterday. Didn't get a chance to get it yet, but I get paid today!!! So guess where I'll be on my break? ;)

I got mine from Amazon on the 15th (pre-ordered). I have only just started looking at it but looks like there is lots of new info.

I have had a gift card to B&N for a while, just went over at lunch and got the 2007 version, I haven't gotten a new one since 2003.

Since the invention of the printing press, the Unofficial Guide is the best travel guide ever published. There really should be a dark ride somewhere at Disneyworld honoring it.
