I decided to eat hot meals this year, but will review each restaurant with flair and finess so that you can imagine the meal... and or search for the picture which I am positive is already posted somewhere on the Disboards as we speak...

I will also include a final analysis....

Can you guess which restaurant was our least favorite... I am sure most of you will be very surprised....

This was our first TS meal of the trip. I made our reservations for 10:30 as we are not early risers...

When we walked into the restaurant we had a 5 minute wait, our picture with Belle and then we were seated. We were at the table right next to Belle's picture area. A little loud because of the little one's being excited, but we had plenty of leg room. Our waitress was nice, but a bit slow. We ordered coffee, apple juice, orange juice, and the house specialty for the kids... Chocolate milk:lmao:. The princesses were no where in sight and we took the opportunity to go over to the cold buffet. It included a cold fish section (sorry passed over), wonderful fresh fruit with strawberries, melons, pineapple, grapes and whole apples/bananas. All were very fresh and cold. There was cottage cheese and a few other items that I can not recall at this time. Next up were pastries. Cinnamon buns were the best, others were mediocre. There was also an area with cheese cubes (very yummy) and cold meats etc (think deli). I saw and tried the swiss, munster, jack/peppers, and cheddar. I loved the combination of fruit and fresh cheese. The kids loved the salami and went back a few times for it.

Our first problem we encountered was that were were only seated about 2 minutes before the "hot plate" came out. It contained scrambled eggs, cheese potatoes (renamed heaven on a plate), bacon, and sausage. By the time we were done with our plates this was cold so we had to have the waitress bring us new platter. The new plate was hot and wonderful, but SMALL. I immediately asked for more eggs/potatoes. The plate may and I really use the word may have been enough for just DS14. I actually told the waitress to DOUBLE the amount she originally brought minus the bacon/sausage. I also requested syrup and ketcup. Another plate of eggs and potatoes was needed.

The eggs were very fluffy and light. They were not runny at all and we all enjoyed them. The potatoes as I stated were to die for and DS ate 2 plates full by himself. They are seasoned with pepper though, so if you are not a pepper lover it may throw you off. The bacon and sausage were the same as everywhere throughout Disney and the original one piece per person on the plate was enough for us. We enjoyed our meal and did go back to the cold buffet a few times. Our drinks were refilled only by asking and I stacked the extra plates to an empty area on the table.

Princesses: They were friendly but unusually slow. They interacted very well with the little ones around us, but kept to the customary "smile and bow" picture with us. Don't get me wrong, this is okay as my kids are older and they were friendly, just not "in character".

Overall, the meal is good. Not great. I would go back again. Hopefully with a better server and definetely would ask for a whole plate of potatoes from the gitgo!

If you have little ones, definetely a good choice for character interaction and finger foods for them.

My favorite quote from the this meal came from DD16 (watches her weight like a hawk)....

"This chocolate milk is made with 1% milk, right mom... Yes dear 1%""

Sunday was golf day. DD and I don't prefer to golf and somehow the "Gods" were not speaking Spa, so DD and I decided to sleep in a little late and then go over to the Grand Floridian for breakfast and a stroll on the beach (aka photo opportunity to DD). I made the reservations late the night before and had tons of options, so don't despair if you are not ADR ready all the time...

We walked into the Grand Floridian and soaked in the atmosphere. I truly enjoy the luxury of hotel and so did DD. DH and DS "not so much". It was a great choice for the girls. We were seated immediately in a table by the window with a wonderful view. Our waitress was a cute young girl from Russia. Very attentive and sweet. DD ordered chocolate milk and I had coffee and orange juice. The orange juice was very good. I am not sure if I am an orange juice snob but this was just right. Not to sweet or tart.

On to the food:

DD ordered the Three Egg omelet with ham and cheese which came with potatoes as a side and I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The omelet was huge, fluffy, and perfect. She ate every bit of it. The potatoes were cooked perfectly.. Little squares of potatoes all the same size cooked to perfection. The waitress even brought a small cup of ketchup without asking. I never did get a bite.;)

I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The english muffins were cooked to perfection, the canadian bacon was lean, the eggs poached welldone (as I requested), and the hollandaise was perfect with a definate lemon bite to it. Very, very good. One of my favorite breakfast meals, though I don't order it very often do to price. Funny thing though, it was not as expensive here:confused3 than it is at our local restaurants. I would highly recommend it, and I also ate every bite...

I paid for this meal out of pocket and even with the tip I was under $40.00. The meal and time with my daughter was worth every penny.

Now onto my favorite quote of the meal. Fact: asparagus has a certain chemical in it that a percentage of the population can not break down causing well an "odor":scared1: not too becoming of a proper lady....

"Mom, your NOT going to eat the asparagus are you? We are at the Grand Floridian, where I plan to get married, and I do NOT want to be remembered as the girl whose Mother did THAT!"

By the way DD is 16, doesn't have a boyfriend and plans on waiting til she is 30ish to get married.... Even if I did eat the asparagus, the chances that any of the same employees still working there are like "none". But, Mom did not eat the asparagus even though she loves it. Sorry, I can't review it for you.

I'm looking forward to reading the rest as you have time to write your reviews. Funny side note: our dinner tonight will be broiled salmon and baked asparagus. It is true to I try to serve the asparagus when we have no plans to go out after. Both hubby and I love it.

I can't wait to read more! Glad to hear that ADRs might not be as difficult to get once we are in the world!! We have had an awful time getting anything booked since we started planning late!!
