The Princess will be called Tiana (played by Anika Noni Rose) and the film will be The Princess and the Frog.

The film was originally going to be called The Frog Princess and the Princess was going to be called Maddy. However, there was some controversy when the name was announced as Maddy as it was perceived by some to be a stereotypically lower-class "black name"; the character was also a chambermaid, an occupation some felt not in keeping with the image of a Disney Princess hence Maddy became Tiana and she will no longer be a chambermaid.

Snow White was actually a princess from the begining. She was made to wear rags by the queen who feared Snow White's beauty would surpass her own.
