Thawing out... A march 2011 PTR *Updated* Birthday PICS

Yummmmmm...breakfast at Cape May. So, so good. Such a great character meal, nice and calm unlike many of the others. :thumbsup2 I hope our paths cross, they must might! We might at at MK the same day as you. Nothing is really set, but we will be at BLT, so lots of MK is likely. :goodvibes

thanks for letting me know that about Cape May never been and it was the only one with a opening so I took it. I'll check your updates and keep a look out @ MK ;)

Just realized that you had a link to your PTR in your siggy so I'm late but I'm here.
Your plans sound great! :thumbsup2

I was hoping to have both of my girls 1st haircuts done while we there but at the rate Julie is going she is still going to be bald. :lmao:

Yay! Awww I'm so excited about the haircut lol its what started this trip. I'm sure Julie will have tons of hair by the time you leave... it has a funny way of just showing up.

So tomorrow we will be at the two weeks mark :cool1:

And I just realized how much we have left to do...

This upcoming week I have to finish any shopping and start packing.

I also have to get all my stuff written down (ADR's, phone number, etc...)

Michael's turns 2 on Friday... and his party is on Sat, and I have a whole list of things to get done for that.

Oh yeah and all my school work :scared1:

Just read through your PTR so far...everything sounds great! I think the first haircut at Harmony is such an amazing idea.

Have fun and happy birthday to your little one!

You'll get it all done! :goodvibes My list had 54 items on it a week ago and now has under 10. I don't feel like I've run myself ragged either, just focused on a couple things each day. Lots of little things are easy to get done quickly too.

Later we are going into the City for church (night service today - overslept!), and I'm braving Times Square for a I Mickey Head NY shirt for the trip.

And a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Michael!!!

I was just there on Friday (Disney store)...I wish they would carry more items there or make it more interactive I loved the old one on 5th. Oh well, thanks on the good vibes I know it will all get done, I just think the last 2 weeks are the hardest cause all you want to do is go already lol. But hey you guys are almost there.:cool1:

We never went to the one on 5th, I wish I had though! I really like the store in Times Square except that it can be so crowded. I think the selection of adult clothing is really great in comparison to a "regular" Disney store (like in the Queens mall). They didn't have the I Mickey Head NY shirt in the style I wanted/size, so I ended up with a Minnie Statue of Liberty one, which is adorable! Henry had a good time upstairs in the Ridemakerz section - I told him we'd get one if he'd potty train!

the one fifth was 3 or 4 stories and was so pretty... I saw that Minnie shirt it is cute. I saw the Henry & Nemo pic on facebook what a cutie, I haven't taken Michael there yet, when I go I walk over there from work. But hopefully once the weather get warmer we'll take him exploring in the city :cool1:.

Soooo after going over the plan with John and looking a menus and food pics we have made few changes:

DAY 1: Originally we had a ADR @ 50's PTC, we cancelled and dinner is now open for whatever

DAY 2: Originally we had a ADR @ Cap'n Jacks we debated back and forth we don't really love the menu so we decided to go to Earl of Sandwich instead.

DAY 3: Our ADRs stay the same but we are going to do future world in Epcot on this day and take the Monorail over to Chef Mickeys

Day 4: Originally we had a Breakfast ADR @ Maya Grill, now its open for whatever

Day 5: Originally Lunch ADR @LTT... now lunch @ the Plaza

Here are some pics of us with our DME package :cool1:

Hi Bickiana...just checking out your PTR. Looks like you've got a fun trip planned. I think your changes in ADRs will help -- I was concerned about yoru arrival day with an ADR at DHS for lunch, trying to see a bunch of attractions, going back to the resort for a nap (necessary!), and then trying to get back to DHS for dinner. I think you'll be happy that you are "free" that evening around dinner time.

You might also want to think about which show at Animal Kingdom is your "must-er" of the "must do's"....Lion King or Nemo. I think it'll be hard to see both of them and get in rides and meals. But, I know you'll have a great time!

Followed over here from Brook's PTR, we will be there the same time you will!! :thumbsup2

Your plans sound great. I think you will be much happier with less ADR's, a bit more go with the flow, with your DS. We went last year when my DS was 18months and we had a few must-do's but mainly just went with how he was feeling and it was perfect! This time, my DS will be almost 3 nd we will have our new addition with us, he will be almost 3 months! So yeah, really just going with the flow this time! :)

Looking forward to hearing more and possibly seeing you guys for the dance party!

Wow, lots of changes!! I did the same thing a couple of times, just couldn't seem to leave those ADR's alone, always needing tweaking!! Yay for Mickey Mail!!! Isn't that the best!!

So cute!!!!

It's so wonderful when those DME tickets arrive, it's always a big deal in our house! LOL And this time Henry knew what they were for, so it was even more exciting.

I echo with everyone else that I think your new plans are great! Less ADRs are good with a little one, we learned this the hard way. It's so much better just being able to go with the flow. :thumbsup2

about the shows at AK which is your fav? why? This is my first AK visit so I'm trying to see what everyone likes best.

yeah I feel much better about our days too, the more wiggle room the better!

Since I was in class last night and working today... I lost track and realized today that YAY we are at single digits :cool1::cool1:! I did our online check-in today and now it feels super close :woohoo:. Tomorrow is Michael's party so getting the house ready tonight. Hopefully I can manage to pack some stuff tonight... get some boxes out of the way:rolleyes1.

Yay for single digits! :cool1::banana::yay::dance3::yay::banana::cool1:

I can't wait to hear all about your trip. I still love looking at the pictures from my son's first trip. He had just turned 2 and I loved experiencing everything all over again through his eyes.
I have a super busy week coming up so if I don't get a chance to stop back in here before you leave I hope you have a wonderful time.

I think I'd recommend Lion King to you. It's more interactive, whereas Nemo is more like a Broadway show. Plus, it's the first one I saw, so it seems like "the original" to me.
