Thats It, The Car Will Have To Go...

Bounded out to the driveway this morning, clutching my recently purchased Mickey (sans Scorcerers Hat) Aerial topper ready to adorn our car.

Hoisted myself aloft, but then fell off, so decided a better route was from inside through the sun roof (luckily, tis a large sun roof....3 weeks of Florida nosh has added a pound or two to the waistline). Up I go, manage to unscrew the aerial and feel quite proud I do this unaided. That sort of thing is usually a technical challenge too far for moi. Flop back into the drivers seat ready to push Scorcerer Mickey onto his new home....this is when it all went wrong. Scorcerer Mickey comes complete with a hole the size of a pin head and my aerial is as thick and round as a.....thick round thing. Grrrrrrr. No amount of pushing is gonna get that sucker on there.

Down to Nissan tomorrow to change the car for something more suitable....you know, something with a lovely, thin aerial. Im sure hubby will understand .

Do you notice that your approach to Allie's problem is entirely different from all others that have been offered? And that you are the only man replying at this point? You want to fix the problem and that's sweet. But as you see, all the ladies just want there to be no problem. I'll bet there's a chapter that covers this in the Mars/Venus book. Heheheheheheheh....I was only kidding about changing the car guys! It did flash through my brain for a nanosecond (wouldnt it have done with ANY woman??!!) but I think that maybe a little drastic. Its only a year old and I love it, its not going anywhere. I will ask the nice mechanic at Nissan if he can drill a hole in Mickey when my car goes in for its very first service next week. Better not charge me for it either!

Oy, whats wrong with my Nissan then? It took me AGES to pick out a new car and test drove loads of the flipping things before choosing. I even forced myself to watch umpteen episodes of Top Gear and flick through a few copies of What Car before deciding. Its won "Best 4x4 Vehicle" twice (whatever that means...possibly that you can drive over speed bumps at 60mph?). It has two can sizes fridges on the dash board, is a pretty sparkly blue and has a big boot for shopping, so I think its FAB. Its only fault to date as been an aerial too big for a Mickey Topper .

Just getting a bit "petrol headish" for a moment (to satisfy the boys here)...Nissan lent me a Primera the other week when mine was in having some accessories fitted and OOOOH, it had the best gadget EVER. When you put it reverse, a big colour screen lit up on the dash, showing your rear view as you backed out. HOW COOL IS THAT? Me and DD spent all morning reversing it up the road and back.
