That was fun, let's do it again! - TR Link added - 12/11

Sounds like a good plan! As always, I like your dinner choices. That'd be awesome if you could get into Be Our Guest.

I'm not exactly a happy camper right now. I'm really getting fed up with the ADR process and Disney dining. I tried making ADR's at my 180 day window and had some issues. I finally got all of them that I wanted except Le Cellier, which they weren't booking yet. I was told to watch the Disney blog for when those ADRs would open up. I saw last week, they posted that the EPCOT restaurants that offer CP packages would open up their ADR's on 6/24.

Last night I get a text from my mom telling me she saw on a blog somewhere that they had started taking Dec ADRs for Le Cellier. I get online and look and there are some ADRs available for dinner and there was 1 2:05 lunch available the week we are there, but on a day that doesn't work. I'm :furious:. I played by their rules and planned everything over 180 days out and then got screwed by their system.:headache:

I guess now, I just have to keep checking.:sad2:

I think your plans sounds really great so far! :thumbsup2

I really hope they open up Be Our Guest so you can get an ADR there. I would love to hear about it.

And I see that you have your beloved Via Napoli on this year's trip schedule as well. :goodvibes
Thanks. I have a feeling that Via Napoli will become a permanent fixture in all future plans. :rolleyes1

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Fantasyland, and hopefully, Be Our Guest. I just hope "Holidays 2012" means sometime more than a couple of weeks before Christmas.

I had a feeling you might agree with my ADR decisions.:rotfl:

That is infuriating! :headache: I really hope you can get a Le Cellier ADR that works for y'all. Best of luck! pixiedust:

Yeah, I have a feeling it would take a lot to get it off of your ADR list.

I think it will be open. I would think that they would want it open by Thanksgiving week. I was really hoping that they would have it open by the time we go in Sept/Oct but that is not gonna happen. So, I already told Ed that we have to go to MK for a day or 2 either before or after our cruise next May. I can't wait to see it!

Disney dining is such a disaster, I'm sorry they are giving you trouble! I hope you end up getting the Le Cellier date and time you are looking for! Everything else looks great! Especially WCC and Via Napoli, yummy! :)

Sorry I'm behind (our time has been consumed with my MIL who is critically ill). Your ADR's look great (well, except WCC, of course....;)), but sorry to hear you are having trouble with LeCellier.

Osborne Lights & MVMCP...You are making me want another Christmas trip!!! :santa: The plans look great. :thumbsup2

I'm going to keep trying. I'm kicking around the idea of a Tusker House breakfast on AK day instead of Chef Mickey for our character meal if I can get Le Cellier for lunch on our last day. There are a couple of other scenarios in play too, we'll just have to see if we can find something that works.

Yeah, I have a feeling it would take a lot to get it off of your ADR list.
::yes::

Especially now that DS, who is the pickiest eater I know, asks for pizza about 2 or 3 times each week.:lmao:

I figured they'd try to have it running by Thanksgiving... I just hope I don't get bit by missing out on a surprise ADR day like I did with Le Cellier.:headache:

I think that a couple of days at MK in May will be well worth it. I'm sure aside from the restaurant, there should be some other new things in Fantasyland to check out that you won't get to see this fall.

The past 2 years I've planned, got excited and looked forward to ADR day only to be frustrated with the process. I really wish they'd make it work better.

I just read about it. I apologize for not being up to date there. I'd had a busy couple of weeks and had only been popping in to TR's/PTR's for updates. My prayers to you and your family.

I'm still going to keep trying for Le Cellier... and maybe a couple of options that hadn't been mentioned yet... :rolleyes1 I just better do something before they start unleashing free dining on us.

Osborne Lights & MVMCP...You are making me want another Christmas trip!!! :santa: The plans look great. :thumbsup2
Yeah, blame me for making you want another Christmas trip. Like the thought hadn't already crossed your mind. :rolleyes1

That sounds like a really good option! And I've heard so many good things about Tusker House.

::yes::

He sounds just like Reid! My child would eat pizza every night if I would let him. Not that I can really blame him, pizza is yummy!

Yeah, because I'm sure the BoG ADRs are going to get taken up quickly. Do you subscribe to the Disney Parks Dining Blog email? They may make an announcement there once they know the dates ADRs will open up for the restaurant.

Yeah, I know we won't have enough time to do much but I just want to focus on seeing the new things we're missing this fall.

Me too. We had an ADR last year, but canceled it after DS decided he wasn't always too sure about the characters.

He sounds just like Reid! My child would eat pizza every night if I would let him. Not that I can really blame him, pizza is yummy!
Well, they're a little different... DS loves pizza one day and won't touch it the next. I have no idea why. :confused3 :lmao:

I don't, but that would be something to look into. Unless someone points out some key information to me. :rolleyes1

Yeah, I know we won't have enough time to do much but I just want to focus on seeing the new things we're missing this fall.
I doubt we'll have a chance to go back for at least a few years, but I'm already looking forward to whenever the next trip is for the 7 Dwarfs coaster.

Tomorrow, Disney Parks Blog is supposed to be revealing at least some of the menu items for Be Our Guest! :woohoo: Also, they are supposedly going to say when reservations will begin.

Here is the link to the article today that states this:

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...ory-of-new-fantasyland-at-magic-kingdom-park/

Look towards the end, that's where this info is mentioned. Hope they release good info for you! pixiedust:

THANK YOU!!!

I hadn't seen that yet, but I will definitely be keeping an eye on it.

Well, it looks like I need to do some homework. I have continued checking the ADR situation at Le Cellier and I've found that I can get a lunch on the day and approximate time that I wanted. But only if I book a CP package. I'm trying to do my research on the CP package and decide if it is "for us" or not. We hadn't planned to see the CP because DD and DS would likely not be too interested in sitting quietly for that long. And I'm sure BiL would rather be drinking around the world that evening. I guess we have to decide what our priorities are going to be.

Fortunately, it looks like there will be some news coming out tomorrow about Be Our Guest, so hopefully I don't get snuck up on like I did with Le Cellier. Thank you very much, Amanda for pointing this information out to me!

Secondly, this is completely off topic, but we have DS' Halloween costume already. Some may already have a pretty good idea of what it is , but maybe not. Anyway, here's a little hint:

Last night I was rocking DD while DS was getting ready to go to bed. He came into the bedroom wearing something that he refused to let us put on his head at Disney World last year, so maybe there's some hope that we can get him to play along this time. :rotfl2:

That's all I've got for now... not much of an update, but it's something anyway. If anybody has actually done a CP Dining Package in the past and has any good suggestions/comments or feels like we should definitely just forget about it, I'm open to any information. Otherwise, I guess it's time to head over to the strategy board and see what kind of ugly fights are going on over there this week. :lmao: :rotfl2:

Hmm, is he going to be a pirate? pirate:

His jammies are cute! We got those same ones for Paxton, but he doesn't quite fit in them yet. He also just started becoming interested in wearing Mickey ears so maybe like you I have hope of him wearing them next trip!

I really liked the CP Package when we did it a couple of years ago because we didn't have to wait in line nearly as long as the people in standby. However, if you're not sure about seeing the show (which I can totally understand, I wouldn't want to do it with DS at this age either), you are probably better off waiting to see if you can get a lunch there without the package because the package is VERY expensive compared to what you would actually pay OOP for that meal. At least, it definitely was when we priced it out in '09.

You're very welcome! If I see any of the info released tomorrow, I'll pop over here as well. I just hope it's finally real information, instead of the obscure announcements they sometimes make.

I'm going to guess that the Halloween costume is Jake. :confused3

Love his jammies! He's so cute in them wearing his Mickey ears. :goodvibes

I've never done the CP so I'm no help there. Sorry!

I know nothing about the CP package, so as usual, I'm no help whatsoever. :rotfl:

Hope you get into Be Our Guest, though. Definitely interested to see what that's like.

Jake sounds like a good guess. The colors made me think of The Incredibles, though.

So sorry you're having trouble with the LeCell ressie. What a headache. Seems as thought they'd have ADRs available for all the restaurants if they want you making them at 180 days.:headache:

Good luck getting a BoG ressie! I think a lot of people are eager watching the blog today! I know I am, and I don't even have a trip planned!:lmao:

Well, the blog update about Be Our Guest is out. It looks like they will start taking reservations around the end of August. They still don't have an opening date posted though...

Hmm, is he going to be a pirate? pirate:
Maybe :rolleyes1

His jammies are cute! We got those same ones for Paxton, but he doesn't quite fit in them yet. He also just started becoming interested in wearing Mickey ears so maybe like you I have hope of him wearing them next trip!
It would be nice to at least have him tolerate them long enough for a good picture somewhere. :lmao:

Thanks for the input. I know it costs a lot more, and quite honestly, that's why we want to eat lunch there. I just can't justify paying that much more for a slightly larger portion for dinner. :confused3

The only reason I'm even thinking about the CP package is because my mom expressed some interest in it at one point, but we just don't know if it will work for the group.

You're very welcome! If I see any of the info released tomorrow, I'll pop over here as well. I just hope it's finally real information, instead of the obscure announcements they sometimes make.
I saw it... I would call this one moderately obscure. :lmao:

I'm going to guess that the Halloween costume is Jake. :confused3
Possibly, but that's as detailed as the picture is getting for now. :rotfl2:

Love his jammies! He's so cute in them wearing his Mickey ears. :goodvibes
Thanks

I've never done the CP so I'm no help there. Sorry!
That's ok, you've helped plenty already.

I know nothing about the CP package, so as usual, I'm no help whatsoever. :rotfl:
That's ok, I'll forgive you this time.

Hope you get into Be Our Guest, though. Definitely interested to see what that's like.
Me too... I'm hoping to get a chance to try both the dinner menu and get a QS lunch there at some point too. I mean, I wouldn't want to just see one of the dining rooms. :rolleyes1

Jake sounds like a good guess. The colors made me think of The Incredibles, though.
Hmmm.. intersting thought.

So sorry you're having trouble with the LeCell ressie. What a headache. Seems as thought they'd have ADRs available for all the restaurants if they want you making them at 180 days.:headache:
I know... I'm not a big fan of having to have our days planned 180 days out to begin with, but then when they do something like that it just doubles the frustration.

Good luck getting a BoG ressie! I think a lot of people are eager watching the blog today! I know I am, and I don't even have a trip planned!:lmao:
Thanks! I know there will be a lot of interest in that. I actually read a rumor posted somewhere that said they would start taking reservations today. I'm sure it just came from someone reading yesterday's post and misunderstanding what it said, but you better believe I was online at 6 am checking the reservation site, just to be sure. :rotfl:

I saw it... I would call this one moderately obscure. :lmao:

I was coming over to make sure you had seen the blog. I agree....moderately obscure. At least it's more than what they've been saying. :sad2: The menu does look good though. Even the CS lunch menu has some nice options.

This got posted on the DIS today:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/news/Theme_P...gic_Kingdom_s_new_Be_Our_Guest_restaurant.htm

Don't know if it's 100% accurate or not, but it states that you can start making ADRs for Be Our Guest on August 4th.

Interesting... I guess I've never really thought of "late August" as being August 4th though. It would be nice if Disney could just quit being so secretive about everything and give us an actual date that comes straight from them. :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Thanks for the info, I didn't see that.

That was my thought exactly. I don't know if that is very accurate but thought I would share anyway. It would be so much easier if Disney would just start releasing dates so everyone could stop guessing, wishing & hoping.

Thanks for the info, I didn't see that.

No problem! I hope it's right! :goodvibes
