We are going to the Magic for our first family trip in September.

I would like to do something special (magical) for my family to surprise them. It doesn't have to be expensive or monumental....just a sweet nice surprise.

We have several PS with character dining since the kids (6 and 2.5 will love it).

Could be something with dining, resort, parks, etc.

Any great ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

We suprised our GS with pal mickey.

Lunch in the castle.

3 nt stay at AKL.

GS is 10 yrs old. He thought our trip was over & we told him we were going to visit AKL before heading home. After looking around for a while I told GS to walk around with Husband that I would find them in a few minutes. I checked in and got the room keys we walked to the room and told GS that they gave us a key to see what the rooms looked like, after about 10 minutes of him begging to stay there we told him that this was our room.

Also Crystal Palace is great character dining, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Eyore etc. We had dinner there and will go back.

Here is something that the whole family will love. Before boarding the monorail ask a CM if you and your family could ride up front with the driver. If there is no room the first time do not give up. Oh yea, after the ride the conductor will give out honary cirtificates. Can't spell, new that degree would come in handy sometime.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

A bit expensive but well worth the money..... a fireworks cruise!!!! We have been on the MK fireworks cruise twice and LOVED it. This year we hope to try the Illuminations cruise. It was by far the best $120 we spent!!!

How about a carriage ride around Fort Wilderness? We did this last year. It was quite fun. We did this at dusk and saw plenty of bunnies and a few deer. I would do it again. While it's not "Disney" necessarily, it's something they won't do at home most likely. You could even catch the free outdoor movie at FW afterwards. Mickey

Here's one that doesn't cost anything: When you check in, if you ask the cast member very nicely, they can send an autograph picture of one of the characters to your room. You won't have a choice of what character you get, but everyone I know has either got Mickey or Minnie. Last time we were there we were vacationing with some friends who had never been before. I asked the CM at check in if they could get a picture of Mickey for them. It was delivered to their room 2 days later autographed to their son. He thought it was very cool, and he's 13.

I second riding in the front of the monorail. We have done this at least 20 times and never get tired of it.

We're fairl new to these boards and It was a post like this that I learned about the Illuminations Cruise! We go in September and we've booked it for our first night there, we can't wait!

I love the other ideas here and thought I'd bump it to the top so others can add theirs...
