That Pirate Stole My Tiara: The Pre-Trip Report

The new place sounds great!!! BF is a super sweet guy to be willing to move you while you are living it up at Disney! I hate moving sooo much that I read that and thought, "Tink, you have a keeper!!!"

Just call me a slacker.

A sick slacker. Not to be confused with a slick slacker. NOBender.

DS and I are a little under the weather, which cramps my DIS style.

I'm so excited for your new place!:goodvibes It sounds wonderful, and I'm sure you'll love it.

And I just got a little chuckle over the whole Poly conversation Missy had. Too funny. That Nik, she's on top of stuff.;) But we already knew that. Your trip is getting closer and closer, which means we finally get to meet! I'm beyond excited.:yay:

I am starting to get the very strong urge to pack myself. Not pack-myself, but pack, myself.

If that lil' sentence doesn't convey exactly how important comma/hyphen placement is, I don't know what does. LOL

And Missy's convo with her sister is too hilarious. Clearly Missy's sis is not a DISer. She shall have to be converted. :lmao:

That's the funny thing. I think she IS a DISer. Just one who was Tonga Toast ignorant. Missy says that she often wonder who's a bigger Disney fan. I think my knowledge and arrangements of the Tonga-Toast-having negates the fact that she has Mickey tattooed on her ankle. We're even.

Just call me a slacker.

A sick slacker. Not to be confused with a slick slacker.

Or a slick sacker.
Whatever THAT is.

DS and I are a little under the weather, which cramps my DIS style.

Feel better!!!

Your trip is getting closer and closer, which means we finally get to meet! I'm beyond excited.:yay:

Which also means YOUR trip is getting closer and closer.

As is LL's!

And LegoMom's!

YAYYYYY!

Exactly! :thumbsup2

Wow, the new place sounds fantastic! :yay: As does the moving plan - I can't think of a better way to move than leaving specific instructions and then going away, only to return to the job completed! :thumbsup2

So, I know that I had promised y'all daily trivia from my sweet little countdown calendar, starting at the 45 day mark.

We are now at the 31 day mark and there has been no trivia to be had on this here PTR.

Which makes me a teensy bit of a fibber.

UNTIL NOW.

::ahem::

I give you 13 days of trivia you never knew you were missing and TODAY'S trivia. ON TIME!

Imagine that.
I'm on time for something.
My mom would be so proud.
Since she and my dad are late for everything.

Ok, back to the trivia:

Awesome trivia! Some of it I knew, and some of it I didn't. And it's always good to learn something. :goodvibes

WHERE on EARTH did you find all this trivia?! I'm thinking something like this in book form would be PERFECT for my older kids for the trip down...

Actually, I'm getting it from a book. There are now two volumes of the book. Here's what it looks like:

They carry it on Amazon. If you'd like, I'd be happy to send you the first edition to keep as soon as I'm finished with it. Unfortunately I don't have the second one.

I also highly recommend the Imagineering Field guides. LOTS of good stuff in there too. Go here.

That's a lot of burgers. I'd have to be resurrected as a zombie to fit in the last 4000ish years. Hopefully by then technology would have found a way to make me crave ground cow rather than raw human brains.

But it's still a lot of burgers.

I've said to Nevi and Melneth that if Texas would do the same, I'd consider living there again. And if the tectonic plates under Texas shifted to give it mountains. Of course, I'm not sure that the tectonic plates are positioned properly for such a thing. But those are my criteria, anyway.

You know, I've debating the appropriate us of my $50 in Barnes and Noble gift cards...perhaps I should check out the Trivia book and Imagineering Guides...get me in the Disney mood...like I need help with that! :lmao:

Tink I would love that! This is exactly the kind of thing that'll get my kids (and who am I kidding, my DH too) into the spirit and keep them occupied on that 13 hour car trip!

Checking out the Imagineering guides now!

Cool trivia!!! I noticed on amazon that the same guy who wrote the trivia book also has a desktop calendar of WDW trivia available -- it is currently sitting in my shopping cart on the site! :thumbsup2

This totally made me think of "Shaun of the Dead", which BF and I just saw a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I mean really, there's no relation to your quote except for the zombie factor, but it's a totally hysterical movie.

The ARE fun. I have SO MANY Disney books. The Art of Disney and WALT DISNEY IMAGINEERING: A BEHIND-THE-DREAMS LOOK AT MAKING THE MAGIC REAL are my two favorites.

I might be able to send you the Imagineering guides too but it might be a bit longer on those as I haven't finished them.

I missed that. That IS really neat.

Currently, my desktop calendar is "Stuff on My Cat", which also has a website. Last year it was the "Bad Cat" calendar. We have the wall version of that one in our kitchen this year. I'd love it if icanhascheezburger.com came out with a desktop calendar!

Don't do anything that'll put you out! I've still got to buy my Pass Porter when the '09 edition comes out (Octoberish?) and make the kids travel journals!

I am so going to have to listen for tap shoes on Main street now. That's too cool!

I love that movie! I can't listen to the song "White Lines" anymore without thinking of that movie. Too funny!

Tink! I have the stuff on my cat calendar too!! Do they only have one version? I have Jinx for today.
