Corey has never been much into politics or watching the news, however, she has been trying to become a bit more aware of what's going on in the world here lately. We make a point to watch Rachel Maddow together when Corey is home. Corey is still learning the players in contemporary American politics. We have the news on right now. She was all proud of herself and said, "Hey, that's that little weird gay guy!" I stopped typing long enough to look up and see that she was pointing to Barney Frank.

Corey is proof that anyone, no matter what their age, can learn politics....even if they don't always know the names of the players.

I think he is so witty and smart... back at the beginning of the bank bailout mess last fall--he said something so perfect and adroit in an NPR interview about "the threat of looming socialism at the hands of George Bush and his Republican minions" that I had to pull the car over, I was laughing so hard.
