That Fantasy can't steal our Magic! March 30, 2012

I am much lighter than I was a year ago but still have so far to go. I have been doing it on my own (with the help of the gym and a few meetings with a nutrionist). The fam has been great and supportive of the experiments we call dinner some nights :rotfl2:

I keep hearing about WW. So you all like it? It is easy? I am learning with prep work I can be pretty good - the bad days are when I am crazy busy and have not planned ahead so I eat whatever is there. There is a WW group starting at work. Think I need to look into it.

Started packing last night - getting so excited. :cloud9:

Hi Kate,

I have the BEST WW leader in Fairfax! His name is Wayne and has lost and kept off 80 lbs! He is extremely inspirational. He is at the Fairfax Circle location near Arties (if you know where that is). If you want to check out the program, you can go for free one time.
The meeting schedule is online on the WW website.

It is a good program. I'm just not very motivated right now for some reason. I should be with the cruise right around the corner but I think I'm in denial!

You started packing?!?! You are good!!!!

I have been doing WW too! I am just shy of losing 10 pounds.
I have all the supplies and just do the program on my own.
The one great thing is dh does the program with me, so dinner is the same for all of us. It is great to have the support and company, because sometimes the will power isn't there ;)
I would love to lose about 15 more, but I am pretty sure that won't happen before we cruise.:sad2:

Last night my dd asked me how many days we were going to be on the boat and I told her 7.
She then informed me that after 7, if we liked it we could stay for more days.
I had to explain to her that is not how it works, that there will be other people getting on the ship after us.
Now I am envisioning dragging a crying, kicking and screaming 5 year old off the ship at the end of the cruise:eek:

ok you all talked me into it. Office is running a special - a month pass for $20 so I just joined. Not sure how this will work. We shall see.

Loved the idea of fairfax circle but depending on when the meetings are it is hard for me to get there since we are closer to tysons., Not sure there is every a good time with traffic around here. :)

So if I lose more than I am expecting that means I can have 2 DOTDs. Right?

Anyone want to walk on deck 4 while we cruise? Not sure timing would work but would love to see familiar faces while I am walking.

Anyone doing the 5k? I want to. Can teens do it or is it adult only? anyone done it - have advice?

oh I am so ready to go.

Kate

Happy Ash Wednesday.

Sounds like the situation Jeff was in, dragging ME off the ship last year! :rotfl2: I am already tearing up when I see pics of CC, knowing that is the suckiest dinner EVER, knowing that it's the last night, and when you wake up the next morning, you are in PC again! :sad2:

Happy Ash Wednesday.

I hope to be running on the ship and I really want to run the CC5K..... I started running again on MOnday so hoping to be up to speed by then, and able to run 3 miles! I have tried a couple times and then either the heat of summer or cold of winter slows me down..... I would love a treadmill so I can run at any time, but Jeff hates me running, thinks it's bad for joints (and I"m sure he's right!) so he got me an elliptical last year. I don't want an elliptical, I want a treadmill!!!!

Anywho, yes, I hope to be up on Deck 4 running, and hopefully will do the 5K...... I figure, it's only 30 minutes out of our day on CC, and what better first race than on a Disney island????

Our cruise docs package finally came yesterday!!! :thumbsup2
Got all our luggage tags for WDW, DCL and Magical Express.
:woohoo:

I did Weight Watchers at work about 9 years ago and have kept the 45 pounds off!!!!! I still follow the old program as it forces me to make choices -- if I want a glass of wine -- I give up meat on my salad and just pile on the lettuce! :rotfl: Anyway -- just for inspiration - I just bought a new swimsuit for the cruise -- a two piece!!! I probably shouldn't wear it as I am over 50 but I look so much better than I did in my 20's and 30's so why not! And after a few DOTD, noone notices!!!!:dance3:

Did get a message from my TA - my docs are on the way to her office, then to her (she works remotely) and then on to me!!! It will be a while for mine but I really like my agent so I will be patient!

Kara, good job getting someone to post new navigators on the main Dis cruise board!! I printed them (all 34 pages) last night and really enjoyed looking them over last night.

No cruise docs here yet. :(

I called Key West yesterday to reserve Barefoot Billy's jetski tour and after I gave a deposit I asked, What happens if the weather is bad? And she said "Sweetie when you get here it will be springtime, the weather is NEVER bad, you don't need to worry about that." Yay!!!! If anyone else wants to jetski tour with us, google them, find them on tripadvisor, etc. We are booked for 2pm on two double jetskis since the kids have to be 14 to go on their own.

Jeff texted me about 4pm yesterday and asked, "so what DCL research can we do tonight?" :rotfl2: For Mr Cool, to pretend like he's not excited, he spent 3 hours on Sunday watching youtube videos of Magic Western cruises, then Monday night he printed all the menus and studied, and last night he had me print the Navigators so we could plan ahead..... He's a mess right now!!!!

But I'm really glad he's so excited - it makes it even MORE exciting for me! And the only Navigators I could find were from December, so it was nice to have ones a bit more recent..... :woohoo:

Oh Ginger - I love the way she thinks. I agree with her - let's stay... :)

He sounds like my DH. He was pulling up all kinds of stuff over the weekend. He had Palo's brunch menu up and was marking things he likes. funny thing is he is always on me because I am a planner and not spontaneous. hee hee.

That is EXACTLY why it cracks me up when Jeff does this! I'm waiting for my daily text asking me what we can do to prep for the cruise tonight....

Kara, what did you mean by Chocolate Buffet on the second sea day. I don't 'sea' it????

Kara, what did you mean by Chocolate Buffet on the second sea day. I don't 'sea' it????

It's hidden on the last page of the Navigator under "Operating Hours", Late Night Snacks, Lumiere's Gala Buffet, 11:15pm-11:45pm. It's fun to stay up for even if we usually can't eat very much (although there's always room for chocolate in our family :))

Jeff kept making fun of me because he never saw it, so that's why I posted. So now you better believe that man will be ready to go that night! :rotfl2:
