Well i was determined to do Disney cheap, stay out of the Park, get a kitchen, cook our own meals and then i check my e-mail,Disney read my mind, we were coming in Sept. again like last yr.and they offered me Deluxe's for $109.Can't possibly pass that up now being a Poly girl i know nothing about AK or WL, need help deciding? which ya like better? pool, food, busses? Thanks

leanne11 - You are lucky. I keep checking my email, but nothing yet. It would be a no brainer for me. Poly all the way! Sounds like you were there already. We were there in the beginning of July and can't wait to go back.

I've stayed at WL. I hope I don't offend anyone, but WL is not my style. Can't comment on AKL as I have not stayed there yet. Well, that's my two cents. I hope it helps.

John

ARGHH...why o why can't they e-mail me? I'm really happy for you though ;)

I would say stay at both if you can.

Our last trip we split our stay at POR and AKL. It really made our trip seem longer.
AKL has become one of our new favorite resorts. We had been to this resort before to visit our cousins who were staying there, I really didn't think I'd like to stay there, the themeing is quite dark. But the Disney came out with great rates so we gave it a try. We were very happy we did. We were upgraded to a pool view, ground floor close to everything. This resort has so much to offer without a room with a savanah view. Maras, the food court has a wide variety of foods. Bomas has a breakfast and dinner buffet, dinner food was a little different, but good.
We were there in the beginning of June and it was very hot, so the pool was always crowded. The bus transportation was great, never a problem.
We have stayed at WL several times, and love this resort as well.
There is a boat to the MK and buses the the other parks. The only thing with the buses is that you have to stop and pick-up and drop off at the campgrounds.
As with both resorts the AKL and WL offer bunk beds, which is a plus for us with a 15yr DD and a 12 yr DS
As I said in the beginning of this, try both!

I wouldn't do AKL only because in Sept there is an infestation kinda of Kissing bugs and being at AKL there may be more. Also does anyone have any stories on these bugs? My friend went in Sept 2 years ago and said it was horrible espasially at AK and would never go again in Sept. She said they where everywhere and on everything.

I think the bugs you're talking about are "love bugs." Growing up here I know exactly what you mean and they are pretty nasty! They don't bother or bite you, they just fly around attached together mating for a week or so. I don't know why they would be any worse at AKL, though, unless you plan on spending more time outside.

Okay, please feel me in about the emails from Disney..
