Is Thanksgiving usually crowded? When is a good time to go that isn't so crowded?

The Thanksgiving weekend is one of the busiest times of the year, maybe second only to the week between Christmas and New Years in crowds. I recall going once on the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving several years back and it was a zoo. The only thing that might work in your favor this year is the bad economy and high fuel prices. That could possibly drive the crowds down because people may opt to stay home for the holiday rather than venture to DLR.
