Thanksgiving

Hi,

I was just wondering whether any Brits had ever been at WDW in the past during Thanksgiving.
We're going from the 10th to the 25th of November this year, which clashes with Thanksgiving which is on the 22nd.
Checking room rates over that period doesn't really show much of an increase in price, so I was wondering whether it will be much busier or not.

Yes, we have been quite a few times around Thanksgiving.
The week of Thanksgiving is VERY busy at WDW, many Americans take the week off and visit. the week after is quiet.
Thanksgiving day itself is busy as many places close to celebrate it.

The Thursday to the Sunday morning will be really busy but its not unbearable, if anything it adds a nice atmosphere and the Xmas decs are up as well. I wouldnt worry about it.

I've been to WDW many, many times during xmas and New Year.
If the crowds are less than at that time of year, we should have nothing to fear.
We always arrive before park opening, do the main rides first, etc, etc, so hopefully it should be pretty good?

i gt married 3 days before thanksgiving in 2005, monday was the wedding, tuesday wasnt that bad, wednesday was very busy, didnt even try to get in thursday!

Hi

We are going over thanksgiving as well. I cant wait to see the atmosphere. We have been there for 4th July as well. Does WDW have any little extra touches for thanksgiving. The fireworks on 4th July were the flag colours and you could see them all over the park.

We leave on the 10th - 24th November. I cant wait.

Its less busy at Thanksgiving that it is at Xmas so if you have been then you will be fine.
