Hi all,has anyone spent thanksgiving in Orlando? If so can you tell me what was it like as we will be there this year and i'd like to soak up the atmosphere as much as possible
Thanks:thumbsup2

I had thanksgiving in WDW 2 years ago, it was wonderful, we ended up doing hollywood and vine with fantasmic dinner package, it was VERY busy - make sure you book your meal especially if you want a tradtional style dinner at somewhere like liberty tree tavern. The atmosphere was great and everyone was wishing everyone else happy thanksgiving (even to us Brits that don't really celebrate it!)

We did thanksgiving in 2004, as already said its very busy!!
Still managed to do everything though :)
We ate at GF at 1900 park fayre character dinner, wasnt that keen on the food but it was great to meet cinderella & the prince & the fairy godmother :)
I also made an ADR for this & pre-booked some special desserts - cinderella choc slipper, pluto 'bones' & mickey ice cream bomb :)
We then sat on the boat dock & watched wishes :)
They will also have xmas decorations go up over night :) & if you time your trip well you could see candlelight prossesion (epcot) & osbourne lights (mgm's - amazing)
It will quieten down after the weekend too, just plan well :)

Ive been 3 times over Thanksgiving and as the others have said its great. Its very quiet either side of it and then for about 5 days it is packed. The decorations go up so the parks look lovely and there is a nice atmosphere. :goodvibes
