Hey Everyone! I suspect that this post will eventually get booted to the trip reports board, but given the doom and gloom I read in here prior to our recent trip, I thought I'd spread some good cheer!
Our family of five just got back from a trip to DW over Thanksgiving weekend. We spent Wednesday in the MK, Thursday at EPCOT, and Saturday at HS. We didn't have a magic band and because we stayed off-property we couldn't use FP+.
Crowd levels were predicted to be 9+. We've visited DW many times and always travel during low season, so we were anticipating the worst. There were certainly a lot of people but, frankly, it wasn't bad. At MK our longest wait was 90 minutes for Little Mermaid. Fast passes were still available at 11 am for Buzz Lightyear and after lunch for Space Mountain. We waited 30 minutes for HM and 20 minutes for POC and the Jingle Cruise. We waited 30 minutes for lunch at BOG.
At EPCOT there were no fastpasses available by the time we arrived in the park at noon, but we didn't expect there to be. We waited 90 minutes for Test Track, and standby for Soarin' never got below 2 hours. Otherwise, we did what we wanted.
We arrived at HS around noon and could still get a fastpass for RR. There were none available for TSM, so we waited about 40 minutes in standby. We pretty much walked right on to anything else. The crowd was crazy at the Osbourne Lights, but that was expected.
All in all, if that was 9+, and if the World is coming to an end (pardon the pun) because of Magic Bands and FP+, we didn't see it. We had a great time as always and hope this report puts your minds at ease!
