Thanksgiving Week

I know Thanksgiving weekend is very very busy, but what about the days before Thanksgiving?? Monday - Thursday... I imagine Thursday will be busy, but if I get a few decent days before the crowds roll in I won't mind. I typically go the week after but with the holiday coming late in 2015 I can't take off that week after from work because of how the days fall... so we are really considering going Thanksgiving week instead. Are the crowds before Thanksgiving much like the crowds the week after??

We went this past Thanksgiving for the Sunday before Thanksgiving through Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.

I thought Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were better than our usual early/mid June crowds. Wednesday and Thursday were very crowded (the same or a little worse than early/mid June). So, while it gets crowded on Wednesday (and I'm guessing through Saturday/Sunday), you will be able to get a lot accomplished without major crowds through Tuesday. That was our experience anyway. I also plan on going back that week in 2015, so it didn't scare us away.

Thank you!! That is the plan... arrive Sunday and depart on Friday. Sunday - Thursday will be park days for us. Hoping that they have Mickey's Christmas Party running on Wednesday in which case Wednesday will just be a relaxing resort day until the party. I'm so excited to not have to cook for that Thanksgiving... will probably go to Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner Thanksgiving night. The week after Thanksgiving has always been my favorite time to go particularly for the Christmas party and decorations. My daughter will be 4 for the 2015 trip, but the last time we did the Christmas party she was only 15 months so I'm really excited for her to be older. We just got back from our January trip and she was a ton of fun at 2 1/2... but my husband and I really missed all the Christmas stuff this time around.

Sorry, but there will be no MVMCPs scheduled from Sunday before Thanksgiving until Sunday after. Crowds are too heavy during that week.

Oh no! That would be a huge game changer for us... what about the week before Thanksgiving?? Not the week leading into.

Edit: what about the Saturday before Thanksgiving? Would they have the party then?? I wouldn't be opposed to arriving a day early..

Never on Saturday. Typical nights it is offered is Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, along with the occasional Thursday. But NEVER during the week of Thanksgiving itself. High crowds mean closing MK at 7:00p for a hard-ticket party just doesn't work. The week before Thanksgiving should see the normal nights.

Gotcha. What do you know about the Halloween party? If I were to go the last week in October instead would the Halloween Party be running during that time?

At least 3 offerings of MNSSHP last week of October, probably 4 and possibly even 5. Crowds are not an issue then like they are for Thanksgiving.
