We're going those same dates. I had booked POR back in June (we were there and booked a bounceback and 11/23 qualified for 30% off -- just that night).
When FD was released, the only resorts with availability for our check-in date were CSR and CBR. We would have switched, but we have annual passes that we will be activating in November, so we didn't need tickets -- minimum of 2-day tickets required per person with FD (there are 4 of us). I would have done that and just saved them and upgraded them for some time in the future, but considering I'd have to switch from a resort I really wanted to stay at AND I didn't need the tickets anyway AND we had 30% off of the first night AND we're not that crazy about the dining plan anyway, we just decided to keep what we had.
The other option was (and is for you if you're interested) that the deluxe resorts are offering a room-only discount (GP and AP) for 11/23 - 11/25. The problem (BIG problem) with that, though, is that the rate for the remaining 3 nights at any deluxe (11/26 - 11/28) is exorbitant. For me, not worth the discount for what they're asking (holiday rates) on those last 3 nights. I don't feel like doing a split-stay for this trip, but for some people, the first 3 nights at a deluxe with the room-only discount could work and just pay rack-rate for a mod the last 3 nights.
So, as long as you're good with staying at CSR, then you did pretty good with the FD over Thanksgiving week. Have fun!
