If you had to choose one, which would you choose the week of Thanksgiving (Sat before - Friday after) or the week before Christmas 12/16-12/22. This would be for 2006. Trying to make plans now, so I can pay for it ahead of time. I don't really want to take dd who will be in 1st grade out of school (at least not for more than 2 days). We have been the first week in Dec. and that was nice. We want to stay at WL or CR. No availability is coming up for the week before Christmas online. Does that mean its really busy then? Thanks for your input.

No question....Week before Christmas. My SIL and BIL took their kids Thanksgiving week and it was really crowded. We have been 2 times the week before Christmas, and we are going again this year. Not very crowded. Lovely decorations. Weather is nice. It is a great time to go. Just make sure you are out by the 25th.

phew....thanks! I hope I fall into that catagory I am going Dec 16th-25th....leaving ON Christmas day so as not to be in the crowd for that week of vacation!! I hope it is ok then?

As you get closer to Christmas Day things start to get more crowded, but it is nothing compared to the week after Christmas. December, before Christmas, is a wonderful time to go to WDW.

Before Christmas for sure. I'm going 11-17th, I wanted to go a few days later and be there right up until, but couldn't get vacation time from work then ;o(

It is entirely possible that Wilderness Lodge is booked already. I have heard that it is the most beautiful resort for Christmas.

I got my room on the Best rate plan on-line....$1600 for the 9 nights!! as of yesterday, they still had the courtyard view avab.

We will be there the 15-22. Hope to miss most of the crazy crowds. Can't wait, first time with with kids (9 & 7)

Slightly OT - does anyone know how it will be from Thanksgiving weekend and on? We will be there 11/27-12/1. Thanks so much!
