How busy is the week of Thanksgiving? Would be arriving Sunday the 20th and leaving Saturday the 26th. From what I have been reading it's very crowded. Just not sure yet if I want to pull my kids out of school for a whole week. Thanksgiving week, they would only miss 2 days. Thanks! This is our 1st trip to Disney

Never been that week, but hear it's crowded on Thanksgiving and the rest of that weekend. But you should be pretty good until Thursday. Here's a link to the ever-so-popular Unofficial Guide "best days" list....

We went during T-Day week in 2004.
Saturday before Thanksgiving -MK crowds were light
Sunday before T-Day -AK corwds were light
Monday before T-Day -at Epcot we started to notice more crowds
Tuesday before T-Day -at MGM crowds were largest I had seen at MGM
Wednesday before T-Day -MK crowds were unpleasant by noon

On some of the aforementioned days we hopped (usually to MK) and noticed that the crowds were a lot greater in the evening hours. I think I would go that week again, but I don't think I'd want to be there on Thanksgiving or beyond. Honestly, by lunch time Wednesday in the MK I just wanted to leave -and I am not talking about to another park.

WE've been twice at Thanksgiving and haven't been scared off. The crowds are bad after Thanksgiving, but the weather was so nice and the nights were not crowded at all, except MGM withthe osbourne light show. The decorations are gorgeous. Do it! You'll have a great time.
