We are visiting during the week of Thanksgiving this year. It will not be our first time but it will be for the little girl we are bringing with us. I know the parks are busy that week. All I hve heard from other people is to stay out of magic kingdom on Thanksgiving day. Has anyone stayed there during this week. What can we expect? I would like to have some sort of plan.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks :Pinkbounc

We were there last Thanksgiving. MK was very crowded. We didn't do many rides. We just shopped and enjoyed the atmosphere. We were really there for dinner at Cindy's. If you are looking to do a lot of rides, Thanksgiving is probably not going to be a good day at MK.

I would like to know too.

Dorenda,

We are going the week of Thanksgiving also I see you are staying at Pop so are we, maybe we will see you there.

Definitely avoid MK on TD. When we were there that week we did MK on Friday and studiios on TD. You will need PS's if you want any type of sit down meals that week. Sunday through Tuesday aren't bad but after that the week gets very crowded.

I'd love to hear the answers to this, too. We're also planning our first Thanksgiving trip to WDW this year. At present, our plans are for a non-park Thanksgiving day dinner, followed by a trip to MGM to see the Osborne lights. How does that sound? And any dinner suggestions? We'll be at OKW.

We were there around Thanksgiving 2003 (we left the day before TD) and I don't remember it being crowded. :confused3 Then again, we were there over this Spring Break and I didn't think it was crowded either. Maybe I have a warped sense of "crowded".

Made the mistake of being in MK in 2001 on Thanksgiving day.Wall to wall people. Definitely agree with the person who recommended PS way ahead of time if you plan on being at the parks. On our last trip over Thanksgiving, we went to Discovery Cove instead. They only allow so many guests in at one time so no crowds.
