Thanksgiving trip question.

We were planing our trip starting the day after thanksgiving this year. Does anyone know how busy it is? we usually go after Christmas and it is so busy!!!! We have to stay for about 8-9 days just to get everything in! Is it like this after thanksgiving? I don't want to keep the kids out of school any longer than really needed. Any input would be great!

We went two years ago starting on Thanksgiving day through Sunday morning. I must say that Friday and Saturday were insanely busy. I have never been during Christmas time though - so I cannot compare...

I was also there Wed.--Sat. of Thanksgiving '05. It was VERY crowded Thurs., Fri. and Sat. I believe TG of '06 was the same.

We were there Thanksgiving week of '06.

It wasn't bad at all. We've been a little before Christmas in the past and T-week was MUCH better!

The longest line we stood in was 30 minutes for Autopia. Mostly we walked right onto rides, though - NO WAIT at all for IASW! We rode Astro Blasters 2 or 3 times in about 20 minutes.

Our friends were there Friday-Sun (we drove home on Friday) and they said it was unbelievably empty on Friday and Saturday - even cast members commented on how empty the park was.

I'm wondering if people heard it was so crowded and decided to stay home and left it empty or something.

If you get there when they open, head to DCA during the afternoon and back to DL in the evening, it won't matter much if it is crowded.

This year we went on the Monday after Thanksgiving and it was not busy at all. It was raining most of the morning but, we stayed at the park all day. We also went the Monday after Thanksgiving in 05' and it was not busy either.
