WWYD on Thanksgiving Day?
3 adults, and a 7 & 9 year old.

Option 1. Rope drop MK, leave around 11am for lunch at Raglan Road, then head back to MK in the afternoon to use fast passes.

Option 2. Still arrive early to MK but stay in the park, do the Jungle Cruise around 1 pm followed by thanksgiving meal at Skipper Canteen.

Once you leave MK you may not get back in until evening

I would leave at 11 and not go back. Lol

If if is HALF as busy as the Fourth of July or Christmas, you will be done for by 1 p.m. (We were at SW on Thanksgiving three or four years ago, and had the place to ourselves.)
I'd move those FP up--if you can--to 10 a.m.-1p.m. Eat. Watch the parade and split.
Now, we did not care for Skippers. However, we have only visited right after they opened. Really didn't like the bread, but the rest of the food was meh. I have a food allergy, and the chef was great...but we have no desire to return. The theming is very good.
We usually LOVE LTT--our last experience was ok--and it is Thanksgiving themed, but a ressie will be difficult, but not impossible now.
RR is great, I'd do dinner there...catch the dancers and have bread pudding for dessert!

I would absolutely stay in MK and eat at Skipper's Canteen. MK and DS will be packed and traffic will be horrible that day making your trip back and forth to DS a long one. It's just not worth it.

In regard to Skipper's and HeidiGW's experience, we had the same experience at Skipper's when it first opened - it was quite lackluster. We decided to give it another try this past August and they have completely upped their game in food and service. It's now our favorite TS in MK.

If you are planning on staying at MK all day, then I would try for LTT or Crystal Palace. My Family would want to have dinner instead of lunch... Also with park being crowded they would want ride as many things as possible and start using FP like starting around 10am...

Moving around just on regular day can be quite time consuming and during the holidays it gets worse... Normally we give ourselves and hour to move from place to place on the buses... and honestly about the same time if we are driving... During the holidays it can take up to 2 hours to move around... So if was my family we would stay put....

We have done Thanksgiving in the parks, we head in at opening, and go till about 1 or 2 then head over to one of the other parks for the rest of our day...

I think Raglan Road has a traditional Thanksgiving meal if that's something you're interested in, I'm not sure if Skipper Canteen does. I'd move the Raglan Road reservation back a few hours and stay in the park a little longer.
