Well, we're all making some progress...@ least we're thinking about doing something

chop & shop, that sums up my day thus far.

what little cleaning I've done my family has managed to clutter it back up while i'm not looking...heads will roll.

everyone sez "...no-one's looking how clean your house is..." they lie

Wow!!!

Not only a written menu but, typed too...I'm humbled. Think I'll follow your lead & write notes as to scheduling prep times, etc. Sure can't be worse than my way of winging it.

My SIL always uses placecards, we're lucky if we've got enough seats around the DR & overflow folding table in LR.

Think I just stress so because my inlaws tend to go all out with their "exquisiteness"...i'm more of a down-home host...but, the grub is good

I looked like a fool on Wed. night when I picked my son up at choir and the director said remember no practice next week and I said "oh why" The look on her face when she said Thanksgiving. I honestly thought it was the week after! At least it wasn't the Wed. before Thanksgiving I still have time to buy a turkey and thaw it, one yr I forgot to thaw it!

Well, I got a tiny bit of cleaning done today. And got about 75% of my grocery shopping done!

The bad part is that I didn't get my turkey tonight because I went to Aldi's first and knew that I wasn't getting a turkey there. Then I went to Wal-Mart (I was over your way keishashadow - I took my youngest to the movies at the Mills and just stayed there) later and when I went to get a turkey - there were none over 14 pounds!!! I was going to stop at Giant Eagle on my way home, but I had to pick up another DD from her evening out.

So tomorrow morning it's off to get a turkey!!! Got to get that sucker thawed!

I started my shopping today. I bought my turkey at Costco and added some produce that will keep. I need sweet potatoes but theirs did not look to good to me so off to my local grocery store tomorrow. I did not clean a thing today so I am going to pay for this tomorrow.

I did buy a new bathroom set for the Christmas Holiday, so when I disinfect the bathroom again (we have all been taking turns with the stomach bug, I have bleached every nook and cranny of the room at least 5 times this week) I am going to put it up. I guess that I am behind on one holiday and jumping the gun on another .

Okay, I am officially not procrastinating anymore, at least I will stop procrastinating after I stop DISing.

I have my menu and have printed my recipes, tonight I will finish my shopping for all but the last minute things. I spent yesterday cleaning and doing laundry and will finish the major cleaning by tomorrow. No Christmas decorating before Thanksgiving...a request by by family...

How are the rest of you doing?

The PLAN is to go shopping tonight to pick up everything we need for our Thanksgiving feasting.

And since I have been asked to bring a cranberry salad to our office dinner tomorrow, I might actually get that done. Leave it to the thought of a guilt trip to motivate me.
