My grandmother always loved mince pie but nobody else did, so there would be one sad little piece taken out and that's it. She's been gone 6 years last week so whenever I see mince pie I always think of her...

We are having pumpkin and cherry. I wont eat pumpkin. I know I know, sad but true. Everyone else in my house lives it so Dh makes it.

I only made a pecan pie for tomorrow because it'll just be two of us. I'll make one or both of the others for the weekend when DS is coming home.

I voted pumpkin but I also love my once a year mincemeat pie. Unfortunately, this year I cannot find a bakery that carries it. This will be the first year in many that I will not have mincemeat pie unless I make it myself. I've been too lazy to bother.

I always bake a cherry pie from my mom's recipe. I always loved her cherry pies at the holidays and made her teach me before she passed away. Sadly, hardly anyone we have dinner with eats it, without me begging them to have a piece. Not sure why they have an issue with it, because it's really, really great!
