Ok...I need help! lol :lmao: For the past 6 months or so, my DH and I have been planning to take our holiday trip to DLR this year so that our last day was on Thanksgiving. We thought it would be great to experience the event inside the park, have a great sit down holiday meal with our two DS's, and just have a new Disney experience. We knew to expect that it would be extremely crowded, but since we usually only ride a couple things on our last day, and mostly soak up the atmosphere and shop, we have been thinking that would be fine.

However, as the day approaches, we are getting a little edgy about those crowds! :scared1: In an earlier post, when I was asking about special events for the day, another DIS'r mentioned crowds so thick you can't move. Now, coupled with our own misgivings, my DH and I are questioning whether or not we should just go the week before instead? The hours are short that week, but I know the crowds will be small. Plus, we can't find a 'great' place to enjoy a T-day meal in the park. In the past, we have gone the first week of December, but DH's job will not allow us to do that this year. Either way, we will be in Anaheim for 7 nights, so we will have plenty of time to enjoy DLR.

I love the advice here on the DIS boards, and value everything I have learned here over the years. So, I decided to reach out and cry for help. I would love to hear pros and cons of either plan from some other people.

Alright...we have decided to change our dates. We are now going November 15th thru the 21st. It looks like the 21st is the day that they have all the holiday stuff up and running, so we will get that on the tail end of our trip! Turns out we are just not brave enough to face those holiday crowds! :lmao: We will have much more fun just enjoying the parks ( and the lighter crowds ) and then being at home for the holiday. Added bonus...we will be in DL for my birthday. That could be a nice way to spend the day!

Thank you so much to all those who PM'd me with opinions! Now that the momentary madness is behind me, I can get busy planning the trip! :cool1:

Anyone else going to be there the week before Turkey day?
