I know lots of the WDW restaurants serve Thanksgiving type food on Thanksgiving Day. If you ate Thanksgiving dinner at Disney, where did you eat, what were the Thanksgiving items served, and would you eat there again?

:)

I'm probably in the minority here...We stayed one night after getting off a cruise, and planned to have Thanksgiving dinner at Ohana. ( No DDP, paying OOP.) Well, we were looking forward to the typical Ohana menu, but when we arrived we learned it was a traditional turkey dinner. $31 each for turkey, dressing, etc??? We were disappointed and just couldn't fork over that much cash (3Adults, 1 kiddo) for a dinner that I could make for $25 total.

So we left and actually enjoyed our meal at ESPN! Chicken wings on T-day! Watching football! Just what we wanted!!!

So, to answer your question, Ohana has a typical Thanksgiving all you can eat for (I think ) $31 per adult. I'm sure it was tasty! (Pumpkin pie that night instead of Bread Pudding )

We had Thanksgiving meal at Liberty Tree Tavern in 2003. We love LTT and since they do basically Thanksgiving every day, we figured they would have the best food. Just like normal, the food was awesome. I know they have Thanksgiving throughout the park on the day but I just think that a restaurant that is used to doing it all the time would be the best at it. We'd definitely do it again. :)

I arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I stayed at the Dolphin one year and they still had the traditional Thanksgiving meal at what at that time was called the Buffeteria.

I teased the woman behind the counter that it was leftovers, but she assured me it was freshly cooked.

It was a wonderful meal and very well priced..... I would definately do it again.

I am curious too! I have all my dining planned already (including 2 backups for each day incase we can't get our 1st choices) other then our Thanksgiving dinner!

We are thinking 1900 Park Fare since its a buffet and would feel more like Thanksgiving at our house. Not to mention we would get a dose of the crazy family vibe with the Stepmother and sisters! ;) Then we can go back to our room and pass out from over eating -- just like at home too! LOL

BOOK AN ADR ASAP!!! Restaurants book up so fast. We went this past Thanksgiving and all wanted Liberty Tree Tavern, but when our ADR window was up it was completely booked - my BFF and I called multiple times (at least 3 - 4 each) daily for any cancellations and nothing. We were originally booked at Tony's in MK, but was able to get a table at Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL becuase their offering was closest to what we all wanted on Turkey Day. Let me tell you, I will never eat there again - holiday or not. I know it wasn't their traditional offerings, but to me it wasn't a Thanksgiving atmosphere at all and to be perfectly honest, I really didn't like the food. The turkey seemed processed to me and it had a very heavy smoked flavor - not the traditional raosted flavor. On top of which everyone (8 of us) got sick, either vomitting, diarhea, or both on Thanksgiving night. The mashed potatoes and other sides were just ok. Thank goodness we had the DDP because if I had to pay OOP (it was at a higher price) I would have been even more . We were able to get a table at LTT a few days later - the food (it was their traditional offerings) was 100% better and the setting just seemed so much more appropriate.

I may get a few flames for this, but to each his own..but if it were me and it came down to a choice and LTT was one of them...LTT would win hands down.

We purposely chose not to get an ADR on Thanksgiving Day because we weren't sure we would go to a park. We ended up eating the special Thanksgiving meal at the ASMu food court. I was really surprised at how good it was! The turkey and gravy were plentiful and wonderful. There was also stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, a roll and a choice of pumpkin or apple pie for dessert. The food was not "canned" at all. It seemed freshly prepared. My guess is that we paid less than half for the same meal you would get at most of the TS restaurants that day.
