We took a quick trip 11/24 - 11/28 stayed at the CSR 2 rooms in RanchosA. This resort is nice, but VERY spread out. Quick sprint to bus stop 3 and way to far from Pepper Market. Having 2 rooms was great! Anyone with 5 in their family really should consider this option (booked through Expedia for $85/night/room no problems checking in btw). Ate in Pepper Market only 1x. Didn't really care for it. Didn't do refillable mugs. Brought our own food and it worked out great with the 2 refrigorators. Had breakfast, drinks and snacks at the ready. No problem with bus service.
Wednesday - Epcot not very crowded, did everything we wanted to do including Test Track 3x. (FPs were gone by 1pm). Saw the new Crush attraction, very cute. As a previous poster said he could say "dude" a few less times! Stayed for Illuminations, it started to rain though and we didn't feel like getting all wet, don't know if the show went on, we left.
Thursday - MGM, crowds were very light in the am and picked up later. Saw Beauty and the Beast at 12:30 and the Cm said these were the largest crowds he ever saw? I didn't really see it, had no problem getting a seat. Did everything except TGMR which always seemed to have a long line. Had PS at WCC for Thanksgiving dinner. What a dissapointment!!! We enjoyed it so much in May we just had to go again. Didn't realize or was told that they were serving only a Thanksgiving dinner...the kids were not too pleased. They hardly ate and the food was so so. None of the antics were really going on so we were not too happy. Saw the EP after dinner.
Friday - MK got there at opening and did all of Fantasyland and rode Splash by 10am. After that the crowds were VERY heavy. You could still ride without too much of a problem but boy was it hard to walk around. Temps were in the 60s. Seemed funny to be cold at WDW but it sure made walking around and dealing with crowds much easier. Never did Stitch. At 11am FP time was 9:30pm!! Talked to quite a few people about it and no one liked it. Saw Whishes and Spectro that night, park stayed open till 12. Left after parade, I was freezing!
Saturday - MK again. Crowds were much better and just took it easy, hitting the rides we didn't get Friday. Magic Carpets said 30 min wait, got on in 15. Got FP for Space at 11 to return at 11:40, when we returned it wasn't running. Was able to use FP for later in the day. Went to MGM to see Fantasmic. Waited 1.5 hours through the POURING rain, thunder and lightning! Show started 10 minutes late (6:40) it was a great show, really liked it.
Sunday departure day. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Good food and a lot of fun. Our table had a view of the castle. Rode mouse boats and let dd3 play in the sand and sprinkler things.
Weather was nice, Friday only cold day. Kids swam everyday, as only kids could do. I think it will be a while before we return, ds11, to cool
ds7 loved it all and dd3 was petrified of the characters
. I'll miss it and count the days until the kids change and we can enjoy it again!
