OK well with that great ticket deal I think we will be able to go to Orlando for Thanksgiving!

WE have never been to Universal and the sight had no info about Thanksgiving. Will we need different tickets for any events that week? Any idea on what to do there and where to go would be great.

Also I see mention of adding on an express option to the tickets can I do that online with that special for the wet n wid 99.95 Universal ticket?

Thanks for all your help!

I did Thanksgiving in Universal last year. While the parks weren't really crowded the day before, and not too bad the day off.. that Friday and Saturday they were very crowded. I do not purchase express tkts...call me cheap if you want :lmao: I am a passholder so I know I will get back sooner or later to get to what I didn't do that day. I also get their first thing in the morning to get as many rides in as I can. I usually get all I want to do in too by that point. No, you do not need a special tkt for any events unless you want to do Blue Man Group or go into the City Walk clubs at night..

Here is the link if you are interested in getting the express pass online..actually this link is to all of the Universal tkts, not just the express pass...

We did the meal deal for Thanksgiving instead of the usual Turkey day foods :rotfl2: My daughters got a kick out of it. We did everything as nontraditional as any turkey day could be. This year we are suppose to do the same. I have my ressies and am set to go.. Wed-Sunday. I am also going to do my Black Friday shopping in Orlando as well too this year (did that last year as well). I think the stores were less crowded than the parks were on that Friday!!! ;)

Oh good to hear! Do they hold parade or anything out of the ordinary for the holiday? I am also cheap aka thrifty, sensible, conservative whatever you want to name it! I love the idea about black Friday too! I may actually spend a day doing a me thing. DS and DH maybe can do a guy day!

I did not see anything special for the Holiday. It was a regular day there, which was good. I have been to Disney on holidays and it was crowded. I really expected large crowds. While there were crowds, it was managable...
hey, maybe we can do a mini meet...
you and I can be the first to start it off.. we will both be there for Turkey day.. and anyone else that wants to join in.

My sister booked her hotel, she just hopes she can go. She lives only an hour away. She met with me last year. Actually, her, my older DD & I are the ones that did the BF shopping. My DH, other DD, my sisters DH and 2 DD's did Universal all day & then to the movies when the park got too crowded. We shopped from 11pm Turkey Day till 11pm on BF :cool1: no sleep.. we were running on coffee and chocolate. We did a brief stop at the parks to catch up and say hi to our family's but that was it... we are all annual passholders so it didn't matter, we weren't using up a day to just stop in for an hour.

I don't think there is anything special...like a parade...for Thanksgiving.
