We will be spending Thanksgiving Day at The Treehouse Villas. I'm planning on getting most of our meal from Cracker Barrell, but will be cooking a few sides. We are driving, so I am able to bring additional kitchen items if needed. My question is, what additional items, if any, do you think I will need. We are a party of 8 adults for dinner. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

The items that are supposed to be in the kitchen are the following. You can call Housekeeping for anything that’s missing. Good luck!

PS timeshare knives are notoriously dull, so if you’ll be carving a turkey, etc., you might want to bring your own.
  • Utensils and dishware for minimum 9 guests including:
    • dinner fork, salad fork, teaspoon, butter knife, steak knife
    • dinner plate
    • salad plate
    • cereal bowl
    • juice glass
    • beverage glass
    • wine glass
    • coffee mug
  • 2 plastic juice cups
  • 8-piece cookware set with frying pan(s), saucepan(s), stockpot
  • 2 qt casserole with lid
  • Cookie sheet
  • Broiler pan
  • Colander
  • Glass liquid measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • Various knives (carving, paring)
  • Serving spoons
  • Serving bowls
  • Vegetable peeler
  • Wire whisk
  • Corkscrew
  • Can opener
  • Cutting board
  • Food storage containers with lids
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs
  • Cheese grater
  • Pitcher
  • Ice bucket

We grilled out a single, large batch for dinner/breakfast/lunch. So, charcoal/fluid/lighter if you want to grill.

But if you're only spending one day there, then it might be too much hassle.

We did this a few years ago. I had not realized that everything would be packaged cold and require reheating. We had a kitchen lacking sufficient cookery to get it all done. it’s hectic but check thoroughly before you leave CB. My bag of pies and bread turned out to be rolls and cookies. The tub I thought was gravy was soup. The best side was the Mac n cheese we got for kids. Definitely add some!

We always bring a pizza cutter, aluminum foil, crockpot (sometimes), electric mixer (sometimes), cloth napkins, tablecloth (sometimes), and ziplock bags.
Foil and Zip lock bags, paper plates and napkins are always in my bag. I now, also add a small salt, pepper and garlic.
