Just finished your TR, I had found it a while ago and thought I responded then but I guess I didn't. It sounds like it was a fun trip. That was a great viewing area for the parade.
NYC is a fun city to visit. We went there back in November 2013 (just before Thanksgiving) when we were going on a cruise on the Norwegian Gem. DH's Aunt lives in Astoria and we flew in and his Uncle came to pick us up at the airport and then took us to the port for the cruise. We spent a couple days with them and they took us on a whirlwind tour of the city, we saw the 9/11 Memorial, it was so neat and moving to be there. The Tower was only partially finished and I don't think the Museum was open yet. They did have some displays set up in the gift shop.
