Thanksgiving Group Dining Juggle

Wow! Just made Thanksgiving dinner reservations for 27. I wish Disney would do a better job with the magical gathering coordination.

I called group dining and was told I could only eat before 4:30 or after 9:00 at Boma. With small children this doesn't work. I told her I would split up and she gave me a lecture but finally switched me over to regular dining CM. That CM was helpful, but switched me back to group dining to a great CM who could make reservations at the time I wanted.

I hope all of you traveling Thanksgiving get your wishes too.

Hi! I agree with you about Disney's Magical Gatherings procedures for large group dining. My group is not that large, at 13 so we have a little more leeway than you do. But it's impossible to eat anywhere other than Fulton's Crab House and one other place which I can't remember now where you'd be at one table. Most places we got were 3 tables. There is a Magical Gathering advertising blitz out there so you'd think they would come up with some new ideas for accomodating large groups who would like to eat together. And unless you do the first 20 minutes of seating or the last seating of the day, your tables might not even be nearby. Solutions needed for sure. It seems as if most of the Grand Gatherings events are simply money makers and there is not many 'normal' things that would make the trip easier/more fun.

Yeah, I know! We got Cal. Grill for 13 at 4:10 pm. Our other choice was 9:30 pm.
