What are the Thanksgiving options available or have been in the past to order hot food such as turkey to eat at cabins or campsites? I didn’t see any info online and the agent I called didn’t have any information. Any help is appreciated.

I don't believe there has recently been ANY Thanksgiving dining options at Fort Wilderness. If I'm wrong, someone will correct me.

Your question implies a take-out meal with turkey-and-fixings available at Fort Wilderness. In all honestly, I don't believe that was EVER an option (take-out).

Back before covid, Trails End Restaurant at FW was a Table Service All You Care To Eat restaurant that on special events would have a turkey breast on the carving table, sides on the buffet line, and a bread pudding to die for.

After covid and with the coming of the DVC ogre behind Pioneer Hall, Trails End is no longer Table Service but quick take-out Counter Service type food. Fried chicken, bbq, frozen pizzas cooked in an oven, but no seasonal offerings as far as I'm aware the last few years.

People in the campsites usually have a kitchen or means to fix a holiday meal as do the cabins (all you need to add are the raw ingredients and the will to make it happen). As I did when we were there 2 years ago.

I set up my outside cooking area:

Then I put some turkey breast slices on the griddle:

DW handled the dressing, potatoes, and gravy in the camper microwave and I worked up some fresh grilled asparagus.

This was my plate when it was time to bless the meal.

We finished it with pumpkin and pecan pies from the grocery store deli/bakery. And a bottle (or two or three) of Pinot Grigio.

Again, since nearly all the guests have a full kitchen available to them (trailers/rv's and cabins) the demand to supply a holiday meal has not been there historically because it's not like the Fort guests are stuck in tiny resort hotel rooms with no means to prepare food for themselves if they wish. And the old Trails End offered a turkey meal to those who wished to pay and eat at the restaurant table (in the past - but not in the present. Thanks Disney :sad2: ).

If you don't wish to do so, then I think you'll have to look beyond Fort Wilderness for a holiday turkey meal. IIRC some grocery stores or restaurants in the Celebration area can provide a take-out holiday meal if you order far enough in advance. I found one or two of those in my research before my trip.

If you have a vehicle or are willing to spring for an Uber/Lyft, Publix has a whole slew of different heat and serve Thanksgiving full dinners.
