Thanksgiving feasts for food "differences?"

My MIL was alergic to tumeric, fairly easy to label read for, but a hassle to avoid if you cook with mustard. Think potato salad or deviled eggs. I chose to make her portion of them, wrap them up in separate dishes, the add mustard to the remaining salad or eggs and complete the recipe. She never said thank you in the 15 years I hosted her, but she always ate "her" items.🙂
 
We had one person who didn't eat meat. She never fussed and no one did anything special at any event. Her plate was always full of side items whether it was Thanksgiving meal or a summer hamburger/hotdog picnic.

Wife's brother was mildly allergic to walnuts. I heard so many times "Those are for xxx" I started stating I was allergic so I could have a brownie or Christmas fudge. I hate walnuts in baked goods.
