I know Thanksgiving is a LONG way away but I was anxious to hear pros and cons of different Thanksgiving Day meals any of you experienced this past holiday. Thanks in advance!

I went to Boma this past T-day and loved it. They had a turkey and stufffing and a few other traditonal offerings, plus everything else they normally serve. Oh and they had a gingerbread trifle as one of their desserts which was really good. If you like Boma, or think you might, and you want foods offered beside the usual fare, than I would suggest this place.

We ate at Hollywood and Vine at Disney-MGM Studios for Thanksgiving dinner in 2002. The pros of eating at this buffet-style restaurant are that you get a wide variety of items to eat. They have traditional Turkey Day items like turkey (I think it is herb roasted but I'm a vegetarian so I'm not sure), sweet potatoes, etc. but there are many more items to choose from.

Another pro for eating at this restaurant is that it isn't one of the higher demand restaurants for Thanksgiving Day so seating usually isn't as much of a problem.

A final pro is that after eating dinner, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights starts at dusk at Disney-MGM Studios so you can get into the holiday spirit right away.

I hope this helps! ::MinnieMo

There were 29 of us this past Thanksgiving at Chef Mickeys. They seem to have a little bit of everything for everyone. From prime rib, chicken, fish, pork, all along with turkey. They also have shrimp cocktail, which is a must for DH. All kinds of pies, cookies, brownies and a make your own sundae section.
We booked the 1st seating at 3pm, we were seated right away and never rushed out. Service was great. We have eaten here several times at Thanksgiving on previous years and always come back again.

Thanksgiving Day at Kona Cafe here. It was GOOD! :cool1: They offered their usual menu, plus added the more traditional turkey dinner as a choice. They added a little flair. Just enough to feel traditional, but yet unique.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Yacht Club Galley in 2000 and the buffet was excellent! Then we took the boat to MGM and saw the Osbourne lights. I would definitely go eat here again.

We've eaten Thanksgiving dinner 3 times at Crystal Palace- turkey, dressing, etc. This restaurant is a favorite of ours anyway, so we loved turkey day dinner here. Good experiences all 3 times! princess:

We had reservations at the Liberty Tree one year. The kids were having such a good time in the pool as the weather was perfect- 80 degrees, that we skipped the dinner and ate pizza at the Wilderness Lodge cafe!
We were leaving the next day and the thought of going home to winter was depressing. So they stayed in the pool as long as they wanted.
We had the turkey for Christmas dinner. :)

We did Thanksgiving at the Garden Grill in the Land at Epcot and really enjoyed it.

The meal was excellent, served Family Style and the dessert was great. Plus you get the interaction with the characters.

We sat on the lower level facing out and it was nice while going through the area of ride below.

If you run out of something and want more, just ask your server and they will get it for you. My DH & I both selected a different wine each and they were both very good.

We would definitely go there again for Thanksgiving or even try it for Christmas.

We ate our 2002 Thanksgiving Day meal at Liberty Tree Tavern. Had a great meal and the atmosphere fits Thanksgiving perfectly. The MK is very crowded that day so prepare for that. However, we had seen everything by that time and planned accordingly. We took in our favorite rides and parades. No matter where you decide to eat, book early!
