Thanksgiving Discounts?

We just found out that my daughter"s band will be Marching down Mainstreat on *gulp* Thanksgiving day. Now we're trying to put a trip together. Does anyone know if discounts are ever offered over that week? We know that it will be very busy, but we're trying to figure out if it will be better to rent points, book a room-only and hope for some kind of code, or to try the Swan/Dolphin with an educator's discount.

Any thoughts or advice? TIA!

In 2010 and 2011 we had AP discounts we got - one year we arrived on TGiving Day itself, the other year the Tuesday prior to. I believe there were also GP rates also that were going on - pretty sure there was, as my sister-in-law booked that same time with some type of deal.

There has also been free dining in the past offered - as long as you were checked in I belive by that Thursday the week prior to Thanksgiving.

The resort prices are a bit higher to begin with the week of Thanksgiving, but there have been some % off in the past.

Last year it was 15-30% off resorts (just had to look!) and looks like that offer didn't come out till early October.
Hopefully you can get a pin code before then that is good!?

We are hoping for a little something off as well - going the 19th - 24th. I was able to use AAA in the meantime, so if you have that, you may be able to get 10 or 15% off rack now and then if a better offer comes out switch.
