I'm hoping that people who just got back might have some insight. We were at Universal for Thanksgiving in 2016. At the time my kids were still not "adult age." We at at The Kitchen at the Hard Rock and it was awesome. We are going back in 2018 but my kids would have to pay adult price for the buffet and they will not eat $60 worth of food. What are my other options. We are staying off sight and have a car so I don't mind driving. I was actually considering looking into some Disney hotels. I am open to suggestions :)

Thanks!

You'll have to check the local papers and online ads. There were several that were in the $29.95/per person range. The resorts are very expensive but local places aren't too bad. But again...you'll have to check the ads when you are in the area.

We did the Thanksgiving buffet at The Kitchen just last week. While it was expensive, for the convenience, variety and quality of the foods that were served it was a price that we paid without thought. Along with the usual and expected Thanksgiving trimmings there was a cold seafood bar complete with oysters on the half shell, peel and eat shrimp and king crab legs. I'm horribly picky about seafood and this passed the test. Our 16yr old son devoured his share of crab legs.

I also loved the Kitchen but I know that my kids will not eat enough food to justify the price.
