Thanksgiving Dinner

I must say I *LOVE* the Thanksgiving Feast at the DLH. We are missing it this year, and I am actually sad about it. Probably will get to go back next year!

Storytellers is $28+tax and tip. SO about $35. No characters and about 1/4th the selection.

How do you tip at the Disneyland Ballroom dinner?
The site says:

; tax and gratuity are not included.

It's likely that you tip the "table" as typically drinks are still served to you and plates cleared hence the "tip and gratuity".

However perhaps someone who has attended previously could better answer.

In past years, tax and gratuity have always been included when you pay following check in. The Feast is a meal that you pay for upfront. When you check in, a CM will find your check, take you into another room with the cashiers, who will ring you up and tell you tip is included. I believe gratuity is billed at 18%. I wonder if Disney is just posting the base price on the webpage to avoid any further sticker shock. The Feast is a pricey experience and has been getting a little more expensive every year.

I just got home and saw that Thanksgiving reservations were available and jumped on it! We have NEVER been to this and now we are booked and I am so excited! ... Wanted a later time but got 1:15 oh well ...

Can someone tell me if there is AP discount? If so, we pay upon arrival ? Any extra info on this? Thanks!

Yes! Your standard AP dining discounts apply to the Feast! Just present your AP to the cashier upon arrival, and they'll apply the discount to your bill. You pay before you're seated. The Feast takes accepts Disney gift cards too, which can be another way to budget for this meal.

Oh awesome !! Do they take the redemption card too from Disney Visa - typically everywhere does that takes gift cards just curious :)

We're thinking of going the opposite route ... NOT doing a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving.
There will still be plenty of counter service options available, right?

The Disney Parks blog post today listed many counter service options. And, don't forget that DtD restaurants do Thanksgiving meals, too. The Jazz Kitchen usually has a fun one (turducken!) that they offer the entire weekend.

We have a reservation for 12 at the Ballroom.
Look for a family of 6 with 4 crazy kids.

My family is a bit non traditional when it comes to Thanksgiving. We booked the World of Color package at Ariel's Grotto. Does anyone know if they do a Thanksgiving menu or is it just the regular offerings?

TIA

Per the Disney Parks blog post :

Ariel’s Grotto: Slow-roasted turkey breast with turkey gravy, apple stuffing, orange-cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and veggies (includes voucher for “World of Color” preferred viewing).

Yatta! I've been hammering the refresh button all day long and finally scored a reservation. We've spent Thanksgiving Day at the Park before, and were grateful for the turkey/mashed potato/cranberry crepes at Cafe Orleans, but this will be our first "official" Thanksgiving dinner at the Disneyland Hotel. Hurray!

We had awesome turkey, mashed potato and cranberry crepes at Cafe Orleans one year.
