Well we made our hotel reservations for Thanksgiving day prior to our stay at the Wilderness Lodge (Thanksgiving was booked) and although we started out looking closer to WDW we ended up booking at the Doubletree Castle near Universal. So I repeat my request for info but in a new locale. Any suggestions for traditional Thanksgiving dinner in the Universal area. Restaurants that is, not supermarkets. Thanks! :sunny:

Hi:wave2:

Well, the WL might be booked for the hotel part, but why not do a Disney hotel for your meal??

I bet Artist Point would be great. I've heard lots of good stuff on Fort Wilderness buffet. There are the two restaurants at AKL.

I would think the WDW resorts would be more festive for dinner than something offsite, but I've never been at Thanksgiving time so I don't know.

Shoney's, Golden Corral, Ryan's, Cracker Barrel, Denny's, Bob Evans, Sizzeler, Ponedesa for Thanksgiving Dinner. I would drive up and down International drive sees what place jobs out at me.

Some good ideas I think we will do just that, drive down International drive and see what strikes our fancy.

Regarding the Disney restaurants, the world is so crowded on Thanksgiving day that they have closed the parks due to overcapacity in the past so I think their restaurants will be a mob scene. I think it will be best to wait until the following week when we check-in to enjoy their restaurants. Thanks for the suggestion though!
