Hi, My family and I will be at WDW on Thanksgiving Day. Where would you suggest that we eat? Are there usually special meals on holidays? Oh, and my husband and I are not picky. We have a 6 year old that likes the typical kid's foods.

Last Thanksgiving, we went to O'hana for dinner. They had special holiday pricing, and were serving family style Thanksgiving offerings -- turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, rolls, salad, and their bread pudding for dessert. It was very good, but unfortunately we had been expecting their regular menu which was not being offered at all that night. Many of the restaurants at WDW will offer Thanksgiving-style entrees on that day, or even base their entire menu on turkey and all the fixings.

I have to tell you, a few years ago, we did Crystal Palace for Thanksgiving Dinner, because we couldn't get a seating for Liberty Tree Tavern. Now, I am partial to the Crystal Palace anyway, but we were so pleased with having our holiday meal there!!! They did such a wonderful job! They had a full traditonal turkey dinner at the buffet, plus many of the things they are famous for. We loved it, and as previous poster said, many of the restaurants will do special meals for the holidays, there is just something great about being in the Magic Kingdom for thanksgiving!!! enjoy- whatever you decide!

In the
CRT- Cool place to eat & good food.
MK- LTT- to me this is like a mini Thanksgiving meal
CP- A great buffet

CR- The Wave - really nice & good food
Chef Mickey's- Love this place

Wherever you go will more than likely have a holiday thanksgiving menu as the PP have indicated. SO pick a place that is convenient to where you plan on being rather on a specific menu. Even the value food courts will be offering thanksgiving dinner entrees! (at a much better value too :thumbsup2)

Thanks for the input! I am trying to help my sister plan her Thanksgiving trip and now won't worry so much about her getting some turkey on Thanksgiving day b/c I had told her to avoid MK on that day!

I'm curious, did they have any of the children's activities that O'hana is famous for on Thanksgiving Day? We've enjoyed O'hana in the past and thought that we might enjoy our Thanksgiving meal, but would also like to enjoy the activities that make O'hana fun for kids.

We like to take the boat to ft wilderness and sit in rocking chairs until Trails end has their lunch. It has turkey and all the trimmings and just seems like family dinner to us.
