I'm looking for suggestions for Thanksgiving dinner this year. We'll be at the GF. We're open to any restaurant, but probably prefer one at the GF or another monorail resort. Do any that you know of serve a tranditional Thanksgiving meal?

We're not oppposed to going to a park for the meal, but are considering Thanksgiving day as our "off" day when we don't visit a park, and just hang around the resorts.

Thanks

One of the BEST places is The Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom in Liberty Square. They usually book up early in the year so if interested call ASAP. Check out Deb Will's web site for other ideas and prices here: http://wdwig.com/men_thks02.htm Hope this helps and have a great time!

That's a good source, thanks. Libertty Tree sounds good too. Has anyone eaten Thanksgiving dinner at the resorts and liked it?

FYI,
My wife and I enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the California grill (one of our favorite dining options in WDW). It is a "package" meal - only a few choices - no regular menu. You must prepay and cancel 8hrs prior to get a refund. BUT, it was wonderful food and ended up being less expensive than our normal meal costs there!

We ate Thanksgiving dinner at the CA GRill one year. It was very nice. There were 8 of us and they seated us all together with a beautiful view of the MK. The menu was Thankgiving with a CA twist. It was a lot of fun.
We picked up a menu for Thanksgiving of this year when we stopped by the CA Grill on our last visit:

We were down for Thanksgiving 2 years ago and stayed at the All Star Movies. We ate dinner at our resort at the pool. It was a very different Thanksgiving. Traditional meal and all but with swimming before and after! I enjoyed the relaxation. We didn't feel like we needed some special restaurant. We were together as a family and that is what mattered.

If you didn't book a ps by now, you may be out of luck. LTT was sold out for Tgiving within a few hours. The only options we had were Convention center and Wilderness Lodge (outside). The convention center is a character meal (16 characters reported to be there). Good luck

TimKeenan -- Is the convention center a new option? When I called several weeks ago, I was told they weren't planning on doing the convention center again this year. Do you have any additional info?

Don't know if it's "new" or not. I called 60 days out from Thanksgiving and my rep suggested it. All I know is $42 per adult, and 16 characters are to be there. When I made the ressies the latest I could get was 4:30, of course that was for 10 people. Hope this helps. The rep also said it was a more upscale menu than the Wilderness option.
