Thanksgiving Day in WDW

We are going to WDW for Thanksgiving week this year!! We were planning on spending Thanksgiving Day in Epcot, not getting there too early and having supper at Le Cellier's. After reading a few things here, I'm starting to second guess myself??? Should we go to Epcot at all this day?? If we go, do we need to get there at park opening time, do they fill to capacity pretty early? Should we maybe do an early breakfast or lunch and not plan on staying all day? I'm a bit confused now, could someone please give me some advise? I'm a very big planner, and this is throwing my plans up in the air...not good for someone like me!!! LOL

We were at WDW Thanksgiving 2008. I did a lot of research and found that for some reason everyone thinks they have to spend Thanksgiving day at MK. So we went to Epcot. It was crowded but not unbearable. We were late planning this trip (started planning in September) so we couldn't get any ADR's but the counter service in the Land served Turkey and Dressing! Hope this helps!

We did Thanksgiving week at Disney World in 2006 and 2007. (We were on the Disney Magic the week of Thanksgiving 2003 and 2004) The parks are extremely crowded as the week goes on. Fast passes were gone by 10 AM and I remember that the fast pass line for Soarin in Epcot took about twenty minutes to get through! Christmas decorations are up and the Osborne (sp?) family lights in Hollywood Studios are wonderful to see.
Most restaurants serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We ate at Fulton's Crab House one year and at Prime Time Cafe the next.
We had a great time as we traveled with extended family in 2006 and in 2007 we traveled with 4 families from our neighborhood in 2007. We are lucky our kids have no school the entire week of Thanksgiving so that makes it a great week to travel.
