Thanksgiving Day at MK

How busy is it on the actual day of Thanksgiving? I will be in town and want to go to MK. I see lots of posts about the whole week being busy, but last year, I remember looking at the app several times trying to avoid family drama and it seemed as though the wait times were not all that bad on the day of Thanksgiving. There are plenty of FP's available as of today.

So if we go, is there a better time of the day to be there? Do people leave for a dinner in the afternoon? Or tend to show up later that day? Are any of the other parks better? Anybody who has gone on the actual holiday-day that can give some insight? Thanks.

Thanks. My preference would be to go later in the day. I looked at diner reservations and there was only the late HDD revue open. So I am just wondering if many people go and try to have a nice diner since it is the holiday.

Not enough for it to make a difference. If you want to avoid crowds, be there when the park opens. If you want to arrive later in the day, expect fairly large crowds.

We go every year for Thanksgiving. MK is always the busiest of the parks. The evening can be insane with people coming for dinner and the evening fireworks/parades. Wall to wall people for the fireworks. This year we have opted for our dinner at Epcot, but many people like MK for the holiday.

It's busy. Not Christmas busy, but it's busy. We still had a great time.
