Thanksgiving crowd versus previous years

Did anyone travel this past week for thanksgiving have experience with going during that same time during previous Thanksgiving weeks? How did the crowd level feel this year versus others? Wondering how the lack of some shows, fast passes and experiences impact the feel of the crowd level.

we might plan a last minute trip in December, so I thought your experience with how the crowd felt, could indicate how the December holiday crowd might feel. Thank you!

Crowds were definitely manageable in comparison to previous years for thanksgiving. I was really concerned about HS and it was honestly probably the best park experience out of all 4.

Magic Kingdom was a little frustrating at times but it had moments where the waits were minimal. Rope drop, lunch, and prior to park close brought shorter waits.

I went last year & this year the Friday-Tues before Thanksgiving. It's hard to compare... I am a big FP+ fan (hitting 10+/per day last year). So, waiting in lines isn't something we normally do.
BUT...the difference for me, even though lines were long, they were moving. And I actually enjoyed seeing things I never see with FP lines. Peter Pan was my favorite. It's always a must ride but, I always use FP so, I miss a lot.
I will say "most" wait times were higher listed than they actually were. I timed a few & some would say 45 min wait but, took less than 30.
We chose to see where the "end of the line" was before deciding.........sorry, but BTMRR line was wrapped around & up the stairs through the Railroad Station & back down.....NOPE, didn't wait in that one. (we had already ridden it earlier in the trip)
We had a great time.......even though I missed a lot of my favorite things, we knew going into it, it would be a different trip.
I would not hesitate going again.......just go with the understanding of things are different so, look at it in a way you haven't before!!

We did Thanksgiving week two years ago and now this year. Crowds were lighter no question. Still a bit crowded for my liking though. Mornings and Evenings are very productive. We didn’t miss FP much but did miss park hoping. Food choices are much more limited than years past.

I agree about missing FP, simply because we know how to use the system so well. But the lines move so well right now I’m not going to complain about 30 minute waits for a lot of major attractions.
However, I’m ready for a return to normalcy in Disney world. That’s probably not going to happen for over a year or so unfortunately.

Totally agree that the thing I missed most was Fastpass... at least I finally got to see everything in the standby queue for FoP. I would also go back in a heartbeat... some Disney magic is better than none at all!!

I agree.........some Disney magic is better then none at all. I already had a May 2021 trip planned but now I'm looking for a quick trip in Jan or Feb.
